@@RondellKB Because before 2005 many of the R&B/Hip hop songs sampled the older soul, R&B, disco tracks to make great music that paid homage to what had gone before. Today's music is garbage so much so that my 23 year old daughter only listens to 90s stuff and this has influenced her 13 year old sister. Me I'm firmly 1977 - 1981 truly a golden period of musical diversity in the charts, love it!!

When I was 14 I looked like a mess and Aaliyah was sooooooooo good looking. She was a natural beauty and for me she's the prettiest woman I have ever seen. And she wasn't just pretty, she was intelligent, talented and so humble. This is so rare. I'm happy that the short time she was here, she lived a happy life and followed her dreams.

I wasn't even born when this song came out as I was born into the 21st century. Although some of today's music is good i.e. BEYONCE, I am so glad that it wasn't always like this. I love the 80s and 90s music much more, not stupid music that I am supposed to like. I LOVE Aaliyah, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey etc etc

Aaliyah paved the way for all women in R&B. She was THE master.

Such a shame things didn't stay strictly professional with R kelly: they made some good music together.

Yall dont know about the whole Allegations against R.kelly , The illegal marriage, getting her pregnant then making aaliyah get an abortion, and having sexual interactions with her at 15 , That's why she stopped working with Robert

@@rosabelviengkhou427 Nonetheless it was a good album, but had she never went solo we would have not gotten all the dope tracks and movies from aaliyah and it is ashame R Kelly did all those things not only to her but other victims. But there's nothing wrong could do about it now , all we can do is to make sure we keep her legacy alive 20 years later
