I feel like the a6 size is so practical while cute and small for home planners. I enjoyed your flip through in your planner. Cutting up note paper is exactly what I do as well. I have many notebooks I never finished so now they get a 2nd use even if they aren’t exactly the same size. I use personal and don’t mind adding a6 here and there. I love the peanut planner co yearly trackers. I typically buy those from her shop and just make my own for my specific needs since I make inserts.

I, too, like to cut up other notebooks and put the paper in my rings. That’s one of the great benefits of A6 rings: I can cut up an A6 Stalogy or Hobonichi or Nanami Cafe Notes or a Walmart A6 Pen and Gear spiral notebook, punch, and put into my A6 rings. Or, I can cut an A5 paper in half, or A4 in quarters. So many options!!! Easy-peasy. Great for notes or dailies. Then all I have to print and cut are yearly, monthly, weekly, and trackers. And…if I cut up a Hobonichi or W222 planner, I don’t even have to print the yearly/monthly/weeklies!!!Everything else is then just on lines or grid or blank paper.
