I was set on buying an S5 B9 as my next car but having recently driven a 23 plate A class rental I’m now seriously considering an A35 premium plus. This video just makes me want one even more! What a car for the money!

u forgot to mention the 35 has a flat bonnet, while the 45 is arched

would love to film a M140 vs M135 version of this with you, can tell it will be a good series, like Golf R vs GTI too, can go on forever

I think the f40 car is a more relevant up to date test Ti vs m135i as many think the Ti is superior car at least pre 2022 build m135i

Would be happy to do a i30N facelift DCT compared to PFL with ya?! This is an excellent video, good details I think most people would miss. That's funny about the boot space.

Bonnet are different too. A45 gets power domed bonnet (bonnet bulges)

Not since the 2023 facelift, both have them now

I have a 2022 a35 and my steering wheel is exactly the same as the a45s with the toggles. Only difference is that it doesnt have race mode and the exhaust mode.

A35 If you need daily driver mixed with performance and economy. Or just pure performance get the a45s. But then again most a45s I’ve seen will never see a track just back streets

Are you going to make a video of how much it costs to run the A45 like you did with your M140i and Mk7.5 Golf R?

A35 exhaust valve problem, cylinder head swap out, at least on 19/20 plate cars

The cars without the aero pack also get those rear bumper vent things!

245s are small for a 421PS hot hatch. My Golf which has 150PS has 225s. So naturally, the A45S is going to inevitably understeer given the car has the same tire wheels front and rear.

Much rather have the A45s even tho price difference. The cars coming on well fella 👌

Hello mate, I was wondering how you managed to get the shortened plate on the front? I have an a35 amg and want to put my short hex plates on it but not sure the best way to do it

I have an A35. Ended up removing the plate holder and drilling two small holes and screwing the plate. Worth noting the bumpers are slightly curved so it will bend the plate slightly

I've heard although the interior look the part build isn't what is shoukd be in places

I know someone who had one. He said in the showroom it looked great, but once he'd had it a while it just looked like someone had gone mad with a chrome rattle can.

Isn’t this just irrelevant with the facelift coming out, pretty sure the a35 design is getting updated to the current a45s, the new a35 engine is I’ve heard is going to be hand made also :)

A35 engine is NOT hand made and isn't in the face-lift either.

The New A35 AMG facelift is literally just about identical, even same grill, bonnet

Similar look but the A35 Grille is smaller.

Turbos are the same, A35 and A45S ? Don’t think so Also just cause an engine is Hand-made and not fully automatic assembled doesn’t change anything in the performance of the engine at all 3:10

Stock wise they both same. If u talking tuning then yes m140i/m2 and rs3 are more tunable.

Even the A35 Hatchback has been discontinued from North American markets. Can't get the new 23-24 facelift

Let’s be honest, it’s not as aggressive as BMW and handle wise. Can’t really do much with Mercedes’ as BMW your opened to more customisations.

Still can’t beat the m140i with the b58 monster inside 💪
