The W176 A45 is one of the best hatchbacks ever. Mercedes peaked at that one.

Great comparison. I have an almost identical A35 to the one featured in this video which is my daily car. It fits into life with kids a dog and commuting perfectly. However for the occasion blast or road trip (Spa classic last year) it is fabulous. I’ve never driven the previous model A45 but the looks and tech of the new car were more than enough for me to never regret my choice of going modern 35 over older 45.

Just picked up my W176 Facelift A45 AMG premium with all the options except aero kit in Arrest me Red with 19inch black wheels. Will play about as a sleeper for a while then fit the kit later date 😆

Actually there is a 3rd way of combining long-trip skills with the "drama" and this is liftes CLA45 shooting brake. Just a bit softer rear suspension than A45. You will not get all these modern features however. From another hand - it looks excellent and can take nearly 500l to the trunk.

Great review mate im currently looking at buying a 2020 a35 amg edition 1 . I like the older 45 with its extra power but the new interior from the 35 is next level and i love the amg seats and ambient lighting from Mercedes. I think a reflash tune would def make the 35 more enjoyable. I found the 0-60 its second gear is much too short which makes its times slower .

I love a45

i have an pre facelift a45. very fast car. only downside it is way too firm for daily use.

A45 also has heads up display

Shame about the alloys I’ve had both front alloys cracked and repaired

Please don't compare the new shit with w176 a45....that has the best damn superb awesome looks....new one looks kickass ugly
