@@umichlaw Ha, Michigan is definitely near the top of the list for me, but my big hangup will be my C&F containing ACTUAL CRIMES from over a decade ago.

These videos are everything. Clarity on law school waitlists is hard to come by on the intrawebs! Thank you Dean Z for your contributions over the years, and for this video in particular! Now please: everyone knock on wood for my prospects this cycle :D

This is unrelated to the video but I am grateful that U Michigan has many optional essay topics. I know that I am so much more than my GPA / LSAT, and there are so many stores that I want to tell that best show who I am that don't fit neatly into the category of GPA/LSAT/personal statement. So thanks Dean Z for recognizing that aspect of candidates!

Hi Dean Z, I am so glad to see you back and excited to hear about the potential movement on the waitlist! I've gotten mostly rejects, but landed 2 waitlists from WashU and NYU Law, and still waiting to hear from 3 more schools. Though UMichigan was not in the cards for me this year, I know I will end up where I am meant to be thanks so all of the great advice from A2Z. This was a super comforting watch, and thank you again :) - Morgan Lakin

Hi Dean Z, Could you please record a video for international students (who have no GPA and are not citizens)? how does Michigan look at such applicants? and your advice for this group of applicants. thank you so much :)

Indeed, a much needed video. I would also like to ask if international applicants applying with GRE would be at a disadvantage. LSAT is not very practical outside the US and, living in a developing country, you cannot bet everything on that kind of test. Read it off Reddit that LSAT is considered to be an indicator of your dedication to law school, while GRE is not. And now that I’ve registered for the latter, it is worrying to what extent that statement is true. Dear Dean Z, could you please shed some light on this? Thank you very much in advance!

Hi Dean Z. I'm been watching some of your past videos and think it would really be helpful if you could do one focusing on KJD stem student (who have a lower GPA but am definitely a solid student)? how do adcoms look at such applicants? I'm a math student who is committed to kjd, but after some research found that my lower gpa could be detrimental to my application. Wondering if you have any advice for stem applicants who don't have work exp. thank you so much :) Another question I have is that I will be graduating college at age 19. I know that law schools like applicants who are older and have industry experience, but does it also help if I'm in the opposite direction or will it hurt? Is it something worthy for me to emphasize on and build a story around?

Hi Dean Z, love the videos. I'm an undergraduate student at The Ohio State University. Does this hurt my chances of admission to Michigan?

Absolutely not. We keep the rivalry to the football field and admit Buckeyes all the time. And FWIW, Dean Z doesn't even watch football.
