On the mention of the show “Friends”, when Jen said, “I was just thinking about…” and immediately Quinta said, “I know.” I believe that elevated the mood of the room almost immediately and it went from a feeling of sadness to one of fond memories for Jen. 💜RIP Matthew Perry
@MsPsychedeliaАй бұрын
You can believe they're fake tears all you want, but it's still weird that they (Variety) wanted to exploit Matthew's death that way. That "ask her what's like to watch FRIENDS now" was not necessary at all (unless you find pleasure in making/seeing other people cry).
@hutch1197
Ай бұрын
I think it's important to deal with your reality instead suppressing your emotions and pretending like something didn't happen. That does more damage to a person. It's the 30th anniversary of the show, and it's a fair question. Can they never ask any of them about the show anymore because of Matthew's death?
@MsPsychedelia
Ай бұрын
They absolutely can ask about the show. And it IS healing and important to deal with your reality. But both things should happen in environments where the topic doesn't become exploitative. Every person who's lost a loved one should talk about them whenever they're ready, not when a producer (I assume, could be a Director as well) is throwing the question around so they'd get more views on their videos. And you can actually see how Quinta refused to do it, because she saw Jennifer was not ready to talk about the friend she lost. The question would have been different if the lady had said: "ask her how's like to watch FRIENDS" instead, she said "to watch FRIENDS 'now'" full knowing there's a lot of grief involved in the process right in this moment. (Not to mention, and I might be completely wrong here, I thought the point of these conversations was for actors to share their own experiences and ask their own questions. They can get some stuff pointed out, but the lady was adamant in making Quinta ask a specific question. Then, why is it called Actors on Actors and not Producers on Actors, or something like that?).
@hutch1197
Ай бұрын
@@MsPsychedelia I think social media and comments sections have caused us all to overanalyze everything. We now must place some sort of critical take on everything: "Exploitative" or "Toxic" or "Punching Down" or whatever the term of the moment is. It's a conversation. She was asked a question. Jennifer Aniston, by her own admission, cries at the drop of a hat. She used cry about Matthew Perry when he was alive and sitting next to him. I'm sure she's fine. Honestly, if she didn't want to talk about it or be asked about it, she would have said so. We're spending way too much time reading into everything and looking for a criticism or a reason to be offended. And not just offended, but offended on someone else's behalf, who never asked us to be offended for them. It's gone too far.

Jen is starting to look like Diane Keaton with her hair color fading and showing her grays!

@@MariaEODJen's style is far more classic and lovely. I don't know why Diane Keaton always does out of her way to dress in a masculine or androgynous fashion. Jen is also just plain prettier. no offense to Duane intended.

Quinta looks gorgeous. That dress, her boots, the soft, natural makeup.
I wanna be as understanding as quinta when i grow up, and I'm 32
She is so beautiful and was such a great actress, especially on Friends! I know it was hard for her to lose her friend who she worked with for so many years. We love you Jennifer and appreciate you always.❤
On the mention of the show “Friends”, when Jen said, “I was just thinking about…” and immediately Quinta said, “I know.” I believe that elevated the mood of the room almost immediately and it went from a feeling of sadness to one of fond memories for Jen. 💜RIP Matthew Perry
You can believe they're fake tears all you want, but it's still weird that they (Variety) wanted to exploit Matthew's death that way. That "ask her what's like to watch FRIENDS now" was not necessary at all (unless you find pleasure in making/seeing other people cry).

I think it's important to deal with your reality instead suppressing your emotions and pretending like something didn't happen. That does more damage to a person. It's the 30th anniversary of the show, and it's a fair question. Can they never ask any of them about the show anymore because of Matthew's death?

@@hutch1197Well! Here is a edvice. What is importent for you. And how you are dealing whit pain is your choice.
i’ve been watching Friends since i could watch tv. there’re baby pics of me in front of the tv playing & watching it. all 25 years of my life have been enriched by that group. RIP Matty ❤️
Jennifer Aniston is such a sweetheart. I love her because she was never a pompous vain shallow celebrity. She is honest and so down to heart.
Dang... Quinta's emotional intelligence is incredible. She's going to go so far, as long as she stays true to herself, and has people around her to keep her grounded. Based off this clip alone, I believe she's going to have a very long successful career. ❤
How lovely they both are❤
