Went to Taste of Asia and saw these performances live. Really disappointed in the judges… body shaming contestants who are there to sing, perform, and entertain the crowd. Judges are meant to critique the performance. The unnecessary remarks on losing weight was highly unprofessional. Honestly, that judge loses credibility for me for not being able to be professional. It wasn’t funny. It went from fun to disappointing. If this is what you want to promote as Asian culture and perpetuate body shaming, then I guess you are doing well judges. Disgusting. I felt true disappointment and shame that the Asian community, my community, not only does this in our own households, now we are promoting on a stage that this is a Taste of Asia and how Asians are. Embarrassing.
