A young little squirrel who has a problem with one of his "arms"

We found this little guy in a tree in our back yard and he seemed to have something wrong with his front limbs (his "arms"?). He can't seem to control them to help him climb. We're not sure he can survive in the wild with this condition since his climbing skills are badly affected. Last week saw his mom (?) carry him by the scruff of his neck from the ground up the tree to a nest high in the tree. Today we saw him outside of the nest and going through contortions hanging on upside down by the nails of one foot. He fell to lower branches. Watch the video and see what you think of the little guy's condition. If you can offer some advice please post a comment. Thanks!

He looks otherwise healthy with a shiny fur that it tended and quick movements so either it is a recent injury or (what I think) that he is born with a handicap. On the positive side, in the wild animals are forced to manage and that exercise will train whatever can be trained up. On the negative side it will probably have problems finding food and will be easier prey to predators. But it is lucky to be in your garden because you might help by putting up a bird feeder and the tree being close to people might mean that there are less predators. Its mother have probably foraged for it up till now. Higher risk of falling and getting more injured is a problem. If it starts to look ill, getting thinner, bad fur, slow movements etc I would end its suffering.

Looks like it probably fell and broke an arm.
