Ойын-сауық

The Catholic Church is not the truth and the bible doesn't teach that you need to go to a priest in a box and talk about your imperfections. And Jesus didn't get baptized until about 30 years old. So infant baptism is also not in the bible. Sorry you were shamed and duped by MEN.

There is a great film out now 'kler' in Poland discussing pedophilia etc in catholic church. You should watch it and get a perspective on 'church'.
the title got cut off and I thought it was gonna say "no boobs" and the priest granted her wish 😅
Eva is right on - First Holy Communion usually takes place in 2nd grade. My birthday falls late in the year, so I was 7 (but I was one of the youngest. Everyone else was 8).
The interesting thing about Roe Vs Wade is that the women (Roe) who was used as the catalyst for that bill never went through with her abortion. She died last year and admitted that she'd never committed an abortion in her life. She died being a spoke's person for the very bill that she helped create. (Haven't watched the documentary; wonder whether that is included)
Rachel Ray!!!’
Good for her. Don’t believe in confession. BS for sure.
we all have sins to confess, and more importantly...that we REPENT of our sins because there is no better way to live
Both Stephen's and Eva's stories about Confession make the case for abolishing the rule that little kids need to go to Confession before their first communion. That rule was introduced by Pope Pius X in 1910. Unfortunately it's been a gift to the predators.
I confess that she has caused me to sin many, many times as a youth...

Looks so healthy and beautiful! Lovely :)
Did anyone else have to "prepare" their confession ahead of time? Reading comments from people about their experience with "first reconciliation" as a child, I *guess* I get why our CCD teacher made us write out the sins we were going to confess. I'll never forget that shameful pink page of construction paper, carefully folded in half, "hamburger style", with my uneven lines of sins written in purple Crayola, which even at the time I felt was in stark contrast with the assignment. We each had to write out 3 sins to confess, and we weren't allowed to ask each other about theirs, it was "private", so we each only had to show the CCD teacher (called up to her desk one by one to have her look at our list for "approval"), and then we each had our little colored paper folded in half as we sat in a line, all dressed up in our Sunday best, waiting for our turn to go inside the room and tell the priest our nicely planned and numbered list of 3 sins. So as to make the ordeal "less intimidating", we didn't go in some booth where you could hide. Instead, they had a few priests avalible, I guess for the sake of time as well, and whatever kid was next in line would be told to go in and meet with whatever priest you got as luck of the draw, which was fine since I was equally terrified of all of the strangers... The preist WAS very kind, and told me that #3 wasn't a sin (some girl in my class who had been friends with me had suddenly gotten super mad and been a jerk to me and I figured I must have done something wrong, in retrospect I think she was just trying to act cool for some other people, idk, but I had felt really upset and guilty over it... And also lonely, cause she and my other "friends" wouldn't recognize that I existed)... So idk how the preist even managed to figure out what I was saying, I know I walked in and was just sobbing with the guilt of existing in itself haha... I think the first two sins were pretty easy stuff to think of like fighting with one of my brothers, and I guess the second was likely something like fighting with the other haha... But yeahhhh... I never got the whole thing about confessing to a preist, I figured I could just tell God I was sorry, since He knew what I did anyways... I remember going to the main church part to do my penance thingie, and just being glad to be able to have a moment alone where I could just kneel, fold my hands, bow my head, and cry silently to myself. I said my assigned prayers, many more times than I was assigned, later at home in my room... The whole thing was just super confusing and I just felt so guilty, not related to the things I had done wrong, because I had felt bad about that already, but then just being like... "you DO have sins to confess, you DO have at least 3, and you WILL write them down and go tell this grown man you've never met about how bad you are..." I get the concept, I really do, and if it works for you, then go for it. For me, though, I'm good with my "first reconciliation" also being my last. If I do something wrong, I'll pray, journal, and/or talk to a friend I trust about it, and do what I can to own my actions and attempt to make it right. I guess a confession booth can be the same as a counselor or other impartial sounding board is for others, so I respect the concept overall, I just also have to admit that, as bizarre and confusing as the whole situation was to me as a kid, it only seems even moreso as I think back and reflect on it. First communion was cool, though, plus I got a really pretty dress! Lol. (I joke, but it did mean a great deal to me, as it should have.) First communion was also way more of a celebration, vs just.... Feeling like a piece of trash who was just pure evil... Though I know that wasn't the intent of anyone involved. It's just still so hard to believe anyone, much less God, could love me, and I know that's largely influenced by my childhood, [outside of the church], but it just.... Woulda been nice to have a place where I felt worthy of just existing without being inherently guilty. That just reaffirmed to me that I did deserve all of the abuse from my parents, including getting punished by dad for him knowing that I was "evil", vs a specific wrong behavior. I just knew I was wrong. Everything about me. Wrong. Bad. Only worth pain and punishment. I'm not entirely sure what I believe specifically, as far as "religion" is concerned, but I know the benevolent ruler of the universe that I believe in wouldn't have wanted kids to be so ashamed like that. I think it's just that humans like to have things orderly and such, so somehow this concept seemed like a good way to teach an important skill to kids, but it seems like it's manufacturing an experience that is really something we already had been learning prior to that age, and continue working on throughout our lives, so it just... Misses the mark? At least is my thoughts on it.
She has amazing skin
