Adorable.. I try and do a round face.. but mostly she moves at an important moment and it goes wonky.. by the time I've tidied it up and done the other side symmetrical it end up short.. but still cute enough to get loads of compliments ..

Is that a purple pearlie necklace 🥰 you did a wonderful job and she is well behaved. My baby shows out at the groomers and goes to sleep when I do it at home but I just can’t do his hair like the groomer 😏

how to do this for a matted one? It starts to convulse when the trimmer is brought near the face or ears.

That presents a very difficult situation. The neglect of the coat and lack of training can cause the groom to feel like abuse from the dog's perspective. Sadly, it must be done. I wish I had a good answer for you.

My rescue dog was the same.. so slowly over a few days I did a few snips.. with a treat after every snip.. Then increase the snips until you can do the whole groom in one go.. it did take a few months to build up.. now 3 years later she's fine and just has a lick mat after her groom..
