A Year after Invasion, Russian Propaganda has gone Insane to Fuel Putins War | Foreign Correspondent
On the eve of the first anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the propaganda war being waged by President Putin has become more extreme. Russian citizens are being repeatedly told that Ukraine is being run by LGBT Nazis and President Vlodomyr Zelensky is a drug addict and a sexual pervert. Subscribe: ab.co/3yqPOZ5
Independent Russian journalists forced to flee the country have found sanctuary in neighbouring Latvia where they are now broadcasting factual news about the war into their former homeland via KZread. On Foreign Correspondent, reporter Eric Campbell, also on Russia’s banned list, travels to Latvia to meet the journalists who have taken great risks to fight the propaganda war.
In the capital Riga, Eric interviews Latvian President Egils Levits, one of Ukraine’s most ardent supporters. His government is allowing NATO troops to train in his country amidst fears Latvia too could suffer the same fate as Ukraine.

The biggest russian independent journalist channel (TV Rain) was banned here since 2022, because of repeated propagandistic outbursts. If you're raised in authoritarian state, you can't help but show it sometimes, even if you wholeheartedly disagree with the regime. Some blame Latvia for overreacting tho. Those outbursts ranged from not providing subtitles in Latvian (only official language) to showing the map with russian Crimea and patronising the russian army. If you look at it without too much context, it seems like not a big deal. But then again, 1. there were and are a lot of russians in Latvia, myself included, who can potentially misinterpret and use this information as leverage to the government's double standards or something. 2. TV Rain isn't a big deal, they're still operating

And finished him off with 3 blows to the heart already lying on the ground. Then he cut his own hand, blaming the murdered man for it. But the examination proved that he had inflicted the cuts on himself. He was tried under Part 1 of Article 122, part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - intentional bodily injury of moderate severity and premeditated murder and sentenced to 7 years in prison. Pressure was repeatedly ordered on the court by "patriot radicals", as a result of which the were released There are dozens of crimes behind him. Since 2013. he was prosecuted for drug distribution. In 2015. Stepanenko, together with friends from the "Right Sector", kidnapped and tortured deputy of the Limansky village Council Sergei Shcherbich. After the abduction, the deputy was beaten with a baton and tortured with sophisticated methods - for example, fingers were crushed with pliers. Also, according to the victim, he was shot several times from a traumatic pistol in the back and legs. At the same time, Shcherbich was tied hand and foot. According to investigators, the abduction of the victim to the "Right Sector" was "ordered" by a competitor in the elections to the Kominternovsky district Council. In 2015, a case of assault and robbery was also opened against Sternenko. Odessa resident - Stas V. wrote a statement to the police. According to the man, he was selling a car and went to a meeting with a girl who introduced herself as a customer. A jeep pulled up on the spot, several men jumped out of it, including Sternenko. They seized, took away the car, took away 6 thousand dollars, and threw it on the outskirts of Odessa, promising to shoot him at parting, holding a gun to the back of his head. Activist Dmitry Rudoy told the Internet portal "Country" that Sergey Sternenko in 2014, as the head of the "Right Sector" in Odessa, was engaged in the protection of bars and kiosks. And that once, on his orders, the thugs even smashed a bar on Marseillaise Street, which competed with another bar that paid Sternenko for the "roof". And there were many such cases. A dozen criminal cases have been opened against him, I include the court's verdict for murder - 7 years. But Sternenko continues to walk the streets of Ukraine.

Tucker Carlson does not want the US to spend US funds or equipment to support what he considers to be a European problem. He does not care about Ukraine winning this war. He is not impressed by the three nation agreement to defend Ukraine freedom (US, Russia, and England). I do not think Trump would support Ukraine either when push came to shove. He may have told Ukraine that they were not going to get into NATO in order to try and appease Putin, but only Putin knows what success Trump would have had. If Putin is committed to restoring the USSR, I think he would have proceeded knowing Trump would have trouble mobilizing European governments to stop Russia.

Politics is very strange. Isn't it interesting how the American liberals, so concerned about human right, inclusion and goodness in gneral, are the ones who all of a sudden scream in one voice: "Send weapons, widen the war, kill, kill ,kill!" while at the same time seeing themselves as the opposite of the Bush administration and its war in Iraq?

"In Australia, parents take their children to transvestite sex shows..." um, are you sure about that? We teach our kids to be good people - to be honest, respectful and healthy. Considering the average life expectancy in Australia is the third highest in the world (just behind Singapore and Monaco) whilst the average Russian male won't life past the age of 65 due to rampant alcoholism and HIV infection - I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that perhaps Australia has a better moral compass that dear old Russia. You Russians might want to consider abandoning computers too - the inventor (Alan Turing) was gay, and who knows, using one might result in you suddenly discovering your suppressed sexuality.

Once cannot take anything that comes out of the mouth of these Russian propagandists seriously. Unfortunately, most Russians don't seem to know that. It is mindboggling what crazy stuff Russians are brainwashed to believe.
Imagine the Russian people's lives a year or two from now when the sanctions repercussions and soldiers death tolls are realized. It was Putin that ordered the invasion of a sovereign Ukraine, the West chose not to defend them when Crimea was annexed and this is the mess we're trying to clean up. I support the use of fighter jets and any other weapons to Ukraine, otherwise more lives will be lost because of the extended invasion.

You guys have no clue that Ukraine has been sent to Stone Age and in 2 years time there will be nothing left that’s if there will still be Ukraine.
