A Wrong Turn. Exploring an abandoned farm in Scotland, urbex/rurex adventure.
I took a wrong turn, followed a narrow track far up into the hills and found a wonderful old abandoned farm to explore.

Some wrong turns seem to end up being right decisions, stunning place. Captured beautifully by you Tom, thank you
My husband and I, when young, used to do this very thing - exploring old abandoned farms and dreaming of restoring them. We've done many things through out our lives (married over 44 years) but most recently moved away from our long-time farm to a close-to-town tiny abandoned farm about 5 years ago. We have restored/rebuilt the house and are working on the rest. Here in the PNW of the USA, our little place is definitely NOT very old, but still - it needed us and we are slowly becoming its family. Please do many more abandoned places - your country & surrounding areas are much older and very interesting!
It was a cold, snowy, icy day in New England today. Then a new Tom Burleigh video arrived. The day was not lost after all. Thank you.
There's alot of history there. Old building have a charm all their own.
Tom! It's great to hear your voice. I've been consumed by grief because I have to say goodbye to a particularly beloved dog friend soon. Your videos always calm my heart. Thank you.
What a beautiful farm in desperate need of a very big renovation. What an amazing project that would be. There are days I am sad that my budget cannot keep up with my wishes and dreams but I am well aware that this is often a blessing in disguise.
Beautiful. I loved this outing. Thank you for taking me along.
I believe the basket lid with beads is a lid for a sewing basket. You can still find them.
I’m with you on the feeling of nostalgia exploring abandoned homes, barns & sheds !!! When I daydream, I often see them again & again. This was very specal to me, it being Scotland.
The"threshing machine" looks like a fanning mill used to blow chaff and light seeds out of grain that is used for seed.
The blue tiles around the stove were amazing! Nice tour and wonderful views.
The pink embossed wallpaper in the room with the 1996 calendar is the same as the wallpaper in my bedroom when I was a teenager. And I live in Australia. And haven’t been a teenager for decades. That is so weird. Thanks Tom
Ideas for your forge? Literally anything! You've only made one or two of them.
SOLD!😂😂😂😂 Beautiful and enchanting old farm. I took several screenshots to hopefully paint some pictures. I would not be sitting in the car. That mantel was glorious!
That beautiful mantle still there amongst the falling-down pile of wonders. Glad you took a wrong turn and recorded this wonderful video!
The cast iron fire surround and the Drawing Room door are my favorites of the day. What a fun adventure!
Hopefully the snake that goes with the snake basket is long gone! I would love the "Drawing Room" glass for a window in a studio or shower.
It IS beautiful. I can picture it in my mind as it was back in the day. Thank you for bringing us along.
Really missing your videos. They really help my anxiety. Your delightfully soothing rambling voice. And familiar music. I hope you are okay
What a beautiful ramble. I would love to make it into a little working farm :)
