Produced by S.O.U.L. Documentary, this is a film on the life’s work of late, legendary visionary Jacque Fresco, co-founder of The Venus Project. The movie features never before seen archival footage and the inspirational last interview of his life as well as many animations provided by digital design department of The Venus Project.
In an intimate face-to-face, Jacque Fresco shares with S.O.U.L. founder Evan Gary Hirsch how he devoted his entire life to comprehensively designing a robust, workable tomorrow for our human family and planet. In this half-hour documentary, Jacque, who had just turned 101 years old, gives us a glimmer of hope as he describes the conditions needed for people to peacefully co-exist in a world without exploitation and abuse of one another. He lays out a bold new social design in which war and territorial disputes are things of the past, and where the true meaning of love and spirituality are manifested by translating them into a working reality. We also hear from Roxanne Meadows, co-founder of The Venus Project, and Jacque's partner for over four decades, who is now at the helm of The Venus Project.
After watching this film, you may feel you just sat with an extremely wise elder who, although facing the ravishes of old age, was determined to share what he feels is necessary for humanity to grow up in order for us to unite, support one another, and thrive as a species. You will glimpse a portion of the work he accomplished in his lifetime, which gives us an alternative path for society to take, solving many of our monumental problems. He also spent his entire life as a teacher so others could understand the validity of this new social direction which is designed to benefit all of humanity. It is our hope that you will come away with this understanding and look into and work with The Venus Project as well.
As this passionate man obviously devoted his life to designing something much more nurturing, harmonious, and sustainable for our human family, it seems the least we can do for him, his legacy, and our future, is to see his designs move from conceptualization to realization.

The children, as they say, are the future. And as Jacque says in the film once they get out of school they've already been poisoned. Conditioning the youth to apply a value system that favors life over profits and not the other way around sure seems like a good place to start... ~Evan ✌️

Thank you many times over for this Evan and Co.!!! I have been a supporter of #TheVenusProject since the day I came across a video of Jacque's talk in Stockholm 2010 ( kzread.info/dash/bejne/gaKfpdmwYr3LhtY.html ) shortly after it was uploaded. Your film moved me to tears... good tears mind you. As @Luke Ellsessor, I truly think that future history classes will learn of #JacqueFresco as a savior of the human race. Assuming the people of the world are able to come to their senses to choose a #resourcebasedeconomy, really the only logical and more importantly, viable, path for humanity to consider today. The money economy indeed helped improve the world's quality of life for billions of humans over time, but it has become obvious money has outlived it's usefulness to all but a very few of us, those I've dubbed the "followers of greed", we need a fundamentally different way to live because the status quo is absolutely unsustainable. In my years of sharing #Jacque's work developing #TVP and #RBE, he has such a way to explain it, even so, many resist the notion of a world without money. Some will even defend the money economy in anger, my own parents included. Your film will help to bridge some of the gap causing such resistance in people's minds. I see you have given the film creative commons license, THANK YOU very much for that, I will gladly share it on my channel with attribution to you and SOUL of course. For the record, my channel while modest is approaching it's ninth year having never been monetized. A choice heavily influenced by something Jacque said in a talk that has always stuck with me... "If you enjoy making something, you will enjoy giving it to other people, not selling it." I have no doubt that a resource based economy is the path we must take for humanity to be able to contribute to the future history of this vast universe in which we seem to exist! Keep doing what you are doing! I won't stop and I hope you won't either!! Thank you again!! ❤

The future is a very difficult thing to predict. You may be correct about this. But we shall see. Making this film with Roxanne was truly a labor of LOVE for us all. Because as was shared in the documentary, this was the last interview Jacque gave before his transition to the beyond, the beyond. So this film is part sharing the story of Jacque and TVP, and part a joyful goodbye honoring one of the most brilliant minds of the past 100 years. Please subscribe to our channel, and share the film far and wide, as this is all part of the most important component of The Venus Project; the reprogramming, the rewriting of our story, the manifestation of a new system. And as Jacque stated we now, as never before have the technology to take care of everyone and everything on the planet. Although, Nikola Tesla also was trying show us that even during his time there was so much more we could do with technology to take care of humanity, were its uses not being solely for profit, but for that to change no matter how advanced we have become technologically unless the system changes it will never be used for the greater good. As Tesla stated, “technological advancements that don’t serve the greater good is not progress.”

It saddens my soul that I'll never live in Jacque Fresco's resource based economy. I've known and watched his content for over a decade. Discovered from the Zeitgeist films. The start of truly understanding how crappy the world is really run. Capitalism is a disease and communism is a poison. Socialism plays a fine line on good that can too easily go bad. I see some haters here are too far gone, too immature, and/or too judgmental to see just how different Fresco's economy is. It's most definitely not perfect, but it is actually better than what we have right now. I've watched enough lectures to know that a lot of his vision (the models & drawings) wasn't created with engineering parameters necessarily in mind. More or less an idea for people to see. Then work out the engineering feats when it gets the green light. Anyone reading this, Fresco is actually an engineering master. Google results will brag about him all day. Some of you might find his wisdom very interesting, if your not into The Venus Project. I never had role models in my life and have never been interested in having one. I will say Fresco is the closest to one I'll ever have. I've always wanted to go meet him in Florida. Can't do that unfortunately. The next best thing would be to at least tour The Venus Project. I'll watch your mini documentary, but not tonight. Getting depressed before bed doesn't sound like a good idea.

I find it funny that some of the people who have commented on this video have got so frustrated with an idealist such as Jacques Fresco but then I have to look at the insanity that culture has been plunged into globally over the past couple of years and remind myself that I am living in an insane asylum... We are all brothers and sisters, we are all a part of the same family but we often fight. Is that our nature? Yes it is. So what are we going to do about that nature then? Learn something new seems to be the answer. At the moment it is quite obvious to some that the global elite are attacking everyone on the globe who are not a part of their somewhat inbred powered segment of society with a covert genocide using the medical industrial complex and involving the military industrial complex globally on a scale never seen before in the history of humanity. Their greed has infiltrated our culture now for decades so we have a simple choice to make and that is do we want a paradise for our future or do we want oblivion? Jacques knew to ask that question a long time ago... We have got a choice and now it is time to make it... ;)

And it shocked the shit out of me! I couldn't understand it. In the future, people shall be trained how to bring up kids. How never to admonish, raise your hand or your voice to a child. We have to educate all the aberrant behaviors out of society starting with our children. It's their future your past values are strangling."* This man is still, by far the most advanced thinker of our entire stinking race. Not because he was advanced.. but because we have allowed capitalism in all its forms to distract us from thinking at all, for FAR too long. This is the only chance we stand at adapting as nature now demands of us. A monetary system only knows how to waste resources & force humans to abase themselves with rapacity & mindless consumption.

So many forces work against our best ideas and therefore our collective human potential. These days, it feels like time is of the essence. But as we have observed so many times before, necessity is the mother of invention, and when truly feeling pressed, we do seem to manage to figure out ways to survive despite our lack of foresight and preparation. Admittedly, our future feels like a crap shoot sometimes, though. That's why we need one another for support! Peace..... ~Evan

We admire people not only open and able to adopt new ways of thinking, but perhaps even more importantly realize that they are programmed, what that programming says, and how it differs from who they truly are as a human. And of course the circumstances he refers to are but merely one example of infinite situations in which people grow up that shapes what they are willing (or need ) to do to "survive", both physically and emotionally, as their programming dictates they need to do. And it's different for us all in subtle, nuanced ways. Thanks for chiming in!! ~Evan

F.A. Hayek critique to this "computer" centralized approach to resource management is that without a market price system, it would be impossible for the millions of individuals to signal their preferences in a timely and efficient manner "Hayek noted, for example, that market prices, which reflect the appraisal of millions of market participants, are essential for entrepreneurial calculation; they allow firm owners to choose the most affordable combinations of technologically feasible inputs. Hayek asserted that in a world of constant change-in which every change of price causes market participants to change their demand and supply, which lead to other adjustments, ad infinitum-no constructed system can match the ability of the market process to adjust continually to the changes. (...) attempts to gather knowledge centrally do not permit the best use of localized and tacit knowledge; and no system provides as much feedback and incentives for the correction of errors in perception as does a market system."

  • @SOULDocumentary

    @SOULDocumentary

    2 жыл бұрын

Thank you for contributing this citation of Hayek's critique that you happened to discover, among the countless writings by millions over time. Bear in mind, first and foremost, that they are written more often than not by people who do not realize the extent and ramifications of their upbringing/conditioning based on where they are from and with whom they grew up. That being said, I will address quite simply two things from the opinion you've shared. A) It does not take into account all of the complex facets and inter workings of a Resource Based Economy, and all that entails to recondition people into a world that provides so much more than any throughout history have ever known and been able to factor into their thought process. So once the mindset is in a mode of baing cared for and only needing actually contribute much less than people the world over do today, one's eyes open to some different possibilities. That is always important to consider when doing brainstorming for future possibilities. The B) thing is you should really think about what he's saying that we have to "trust" "entrepreneurs" who, just because they are "in business", is supposed to be a valid indicator that they are efficient enough in their calculations, and that all that information the world over is collected, assimilated, analyzed, and implemented to the point that it would serve us as a human family to leave in charge of assuring that resources to survive are available to all who live on Earth? I tell you, my friend, I would certainly rather leave it to a super computer that was programmed to inventory resources, assess needs inputs, allocate facilities and production, and get the people what they need and want. Think about a future we could have once we break free of the limitations imposed on our minds by the system that is so "successful" that we are defending it. If it's so great, let it show us how to do it without enslavement, exploitation, ecological disaster, and the gross inequities we see in our human family getting their needs met based on completely arbitrary reasons the world over made possible by everyone's best friend, the root of all evil, money. You wanna talk future possibility, get ready....... Cause we are talking evolving our culture, our societies, and our potential to the level of the future. Our future, if we make it so. Peace. ~Evan

  • 2 жыл бұрын

@@SOULDocumentary Thanks Evan for taking the time to reply :) About your 1st paragraph, you have to address the actual point, it does not matter who the person who came up with the critique was and what he believed in or did not believe in, what matters is the actual objection raised. a) I do hope the RBE has addressed Hayek's critique, I just shared it here as food for thought for people who might have never heard it before. I (like so many) believe that technology is rapidly advancing to a state where there will be plenty of resources for everyone. When that comes about, Jacque is quite right, humans will finally have time to do what they really want (to be "free creative poets" as Agostinho da Silva would put it). Question is how such future societies should best be organized. b) You just described the market pricing mechanism. Yes, it is working more than fine. And because it is a decentralized system, there is much more freedom and less risk for disaster (should this AI / centralized computer be controlled by the "wrong" people / fail). You know each individual company (if it is big enough) is already deploying technology as a tool for resource management. If the argument is that all human efforts should be allocated to creating this 1 super computer, I hope you can see how it would be against freedom (unless all humans freely chose to do it willingly). People should do with their lives what they want. From what I have watched, Fresco would agree :) If we know any history, we should be wary of any centralized system. Be it controlled by machines or humans. Even if for the sake of argument we were to grant that it is possible for a centralized system to overcome the problem raised by Hayek so long ago (to the best of my knowledge, no good argument has addressed this problem), and imagining it is more efficient than the current market pricing system, we still would need to see how such centralized system could hinder human freedom and innovation. (when you have 1 centralized system controlling the entire world, competition - I know Jacque does not like this word - either does not exist or is even illegal. We know one of the main drivers for human innovation is competition) Does that mean we are stuck with the pricing system forever? No, we both agree have to be open that it is possible for humans or machines to come up with a better system that will serve all humanity better

@ I do appreciate the fact that you engage in dialogue that at least hints at something more constructive and relevant than most. But you have only helped me to galvanize the fact that I am only interested in participating in forums that support the development of ideas that get us to a more equitable and sustainable world for our human family. As a philanthropist, that is where I set my sights. As a human being, that is where my heart is. As a human doing, that is what my focus is. When we see clear evidence that a person is stuck defending the system that we all acknowledge is flawed, there is no where to go with that, as to some of us, regulating and jailing our way out is not the solution (something Jacque recognized so well). It sounds as though you do see a future beyond currency and trade, so that is great (and you are among a small minority it seems). When you are interested in participating in creating that world, great, we need you!! Until then, I am not here to convince anyone of anything. I have my own purpose in life, and it’s to show what’s possible and help bring it about. The future would love to have you on its side helping to brighten it. Good luck on your journey. Always go with love. Thank you again for the conversation. ~Evan

It definitely shows you where our collective mentality is. Every biological form is imbued with a drive to survive and to procreate. There is little research needed to see that porn is simply a reflection of that impulse to carry on our DNA. BUT, here's where it gets interesting. The ideas set forth by The Venus Project speak to solutions for our very survival, both individually and as a species. So why aren't we taking it more seriously? One conclusion I have is that it's too dire, too serious, and too big to even fathom that we could actually have the collective power to literally write a new chapter of our human story to be such a fresh start that it takes us to a place that is unrecognizable by today's standards. All we are asking for is a story in which we create a world that starts with a value system that supports life, harmony, and the best possible use of our massive human intelligence to be custodians of the planet in the most effective, efficient, and equitable way possible. Peace! ~Evan

Yeah, Jacque really felt that without the overhaul and elimination of that shit that is holding us back from our potential, we very likely will never reach it. But at the same time, he spoke of a better future as a foregone conclusion. It didn't happen in his lifetime. Will it happen in ours?

If’s funny how he talked about a cashless society, and now…. in the 21 century, we’re talking Crypto Currency. 🤷🏾‍♂️🧔🏾‍♂️ we’re nota cashless society…. But we’re getting there. ☝🏾🤷🏾‍♂️👍🏾

There are multiple perspectives to this. Baby steps can be cool in some things, perhaps even necessary in many if not most. Cashless society, however sounds quite distinct from RBE, which is not only cashless, but also currency-less and with the added element that resource centers provide everyone with an abundance of all they could need and plenty they could want (delivered of course!). The idea of TVP, as I understand it, is to make a shift beyond politics, poverty, and war. Evolving cash into crypto does not appear to fall on the journey toward that goal. It feels like it's on a different train track to a different destination. But what do I know? Perhaps these are all baby steps toward the ultimate eventuality that Jacque felt was a foregone conclusion: we will end up in an RBE/TVP type world eventually. Whoever makes it will be the question...... Peace! ~Evan

Except if you have read what Plato wrote about Atlantis, is was a very violent, greedy civilization that was destroyed by its black magic, ie technology. Which makes Atlantis far closer to what our current civilization that what is proposed by TVP.

Solid as a rock, right?! So clear headed and made everything seem so obvious. Like he says, we're gonna look back and wonder why it took us so long. But he does explain that it's programming, along with what the late, brilliant scientist E.O. Wilson called our "ultrasocial" nature.... ~Blue

Jacque Fresco's view on the military industrial complex was wrapped...selling weapons to your home country and it's allies is not corrupt...selling weapons to both sides during a war is...

And here we are debating what "qualifies" as corrupt in a government... This is exactly the programming/conditioning about which Jacque (perhaps most importantly) spoke so often. We have been wired to aim at the wrong targets, so we keep the divide-and-conquer working against us. At @SoulDocumentary, we are here to inspire those in our human family ready to evolve their consciousness, perspectives, and actions into something that feels more consistent with actual growth, progress, and efforts toward better lives and perhaps even thriving, for as many of our sisters, brothers, and cousins around this beautiful planet as we can. When you are ready to work toward higher values, the world is ready to welcome you to the fold of that realm. Be inspired. Make the conscious choice to evolve: kzread.info/dash/bejne/noV6r8iLhsutk9o.html Peace! ~Evan

Hmmm... 🤔 Maybe because it is circular? The Circle is the most universal - thus logical shape found in nature. Plus Jacque applied it because you only have to create one pie segment & replicate it. 😉 Fast, Economical, resilient, & simple to update as these cities would.
