Don't know about you guys, but when I watched the Rebels episodes with Thrawn, my skin crawled every time he spoke. His voice was just so... emotionless, cold, calculating, it made me shiver. Hearing that coming out of a real life person now? Uh-huhuhuh... the creepiness has been cranked to ELEVEN!

13:38 Thrawn's motivation in his books is actually a quite noble one, to assemble a fighting force strong enough to protect his people, the Chiss, from outside threats. So I hope that is still his ultimate goal.

To be honest. With all the criticism Star Wars gets on KZread by grifters, I've seen things in Mandalorian Season 3 and Ahsoka that I've never seen in live action in my life. Things that we would only see in anime is in live action. For example the air battle between Mandalorians, Mandalorian Mech Armor, A second galaxy in Star Wars. Mandos flying from land to space. This is when I realized their armor/uniforms are spacesuits. Ahsokas space suit with 4 jets on the her back providing thrust. Night Sister magick and Night Sisters in live action, Thrawn. World Between Worlds. Force ghost Anakin mastering his Dark and Light side. Clone Wars live action. Dark Saber live action. The list goes on and I can't recall everything at the moment. But this is amazing for fans who stuck with the clunky animation of Clone Wars and Rebels. Congrats Star Wars fans. You have a show where the creators respect the lore. This is unheard of in modern hollywood. Think I'm wrong, look what they did to Halo.

Star Wars fans have become too damned picky in my opinion. We got 6 2hr movies in 30 years at one point and now you get a movie-quality episode on your television every week and all fans do is complain. Is every episode perfect? No. But they’ve given us enough great new material between the Mandalorian, Andor and Ahsoka that fans should be way less miserable. I really dig what they’ve done with this franchise finding ways to tell different types of stories all within the same universe.

I expect this will be an empire strikes back situation at the end of the season, with Thrawn returning, and not all the rebels making it back. They barely defeated Thrawn before, and now he has nightsister magic on his side, which all jedi and sith were afraid of, I don’t see how they’re gonna defeat Thrawn in the end, even with Luke and Ahsoka, and even if Shin and Baylan either join them, or just aren’t allies of Thrawn anymore. Hope Dave gets to do a triology, instead of a single movie, with Thrawn being the main villain of them all, with them defeating him in the last movie, only for him to tell Luke and Ahsoka, that there’s a far greater threat than him out there, and that’s what he was trying to protect the galaxy against with the empire, whatever that threat ends up being…

@@ncard00Thrawn is gonna be the new “villain” of the Filoniverse. He’s most definitely going to succeed, and I guarantee you either Ezra, Sabine, or even both die in the finale, to raise the stakes that much more. Anyone unfamiliar with Thrawn need to see what this guys about. He’s not just any ordinary villain like Gideon. No, he’s so much more.

Prediction: the "larger power" is the Son of the Mortis gods, maybe scheming through the Nightsisters. Incidentally, Ahsoka houses the Daughter's spark of life, so it would make sense to have a final confrontation between the two. My only concern is that maybe this would be too much lore to explain to a casual viewer.

Great reaction, Legion. This was a very special, excellent episode. The world-building in The Mandoverse is second to none. Peridea is a planet I'm already enamored with. I truly hope We get to see MORE of this new galaxy (esp. since my supposition is that Thrawn's Star Destroyer may have been parked either at another planet, or, on the other side of the planet). With this 6th part, The Mandalorian Saga has overtaken and blotted out the (forever-dubious) relevance of The (Disney) Sequel Trilogy. THIS is the spiritual sequel to George Lucas' Original Trilogy (along with being a relative direct sequel to SW: Rebels), and also a relative bridge/parallel to Shadows Of The Empire, The Prequel Trilogy, and The Clone Wars. I think it was fate/destiny that Sabine Wren found Ezra within a day's time...Ezra probably had a vision of her being the one to to find him...which is why he left a specific message for her. Much of this was preordained by The Force (something that The Nightsisters couldn't foresee)...which may have been what Huyang was trying to explain to Ahsoka...maybe most of this was DESTINY...Thrawn was meant to be taken out of The Civil War by Ezra Bridger, and exiled in The New Beyond for 10 years; and Sabine Wren and Ahsoka Tano were meant to find and rescue Ezra, while also aiding Thrawn to rejoin The Remnant Empire, with new allies...just as Ezra will have new allies and understandings of The Living and The Cosmic Force to bring with him back to his home galaxy. The introduction of Grand Admiral Thrawn was PERFECT. Just as powerful and compelling as the iconic live-action introductions of Lord Darth Vader and The Emperor. I still can't believe that there were people doubting Filoni's ability to bring The Grand Admiral in to live-action. At the end of the episode, the delicious thought I had: What will Thrawn's reaction be, when he finds out that Ahsoka Tano was the Former Jedi Padawan of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, Lord Of The Sith? Regarding Baylan, he's becoming more fascinating and empathetic by each episode...Operation Knightfall and Order 66 really altered his being in every way...that's why I'm really hoping that the Spring 2024 novel, Star Wars: The Living Force (taking place 1 year before The Phantom Menace) spends a little time depicting Baylan Skoll when he was a 14-year-old Jedi Padawan, and completely devoted to The Jedi Order...the pathos that would give, would be incredible...esp. if he interacts with Yoda, Yaddle, and Plo Koon, if he ends up being Skoll's Master (and encounters both Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan in the story, both of which, the book will feature in its narrative). A few SW Fans have theorized that, perhaps, the power that is calling to Baylan Skoll might have something to do with ABELOTH. Could you imagine?! BTW, I think I'd call that thing Sabine was riding, a Rat-Dog-Wolf. Imagine if, by the end of this series, Sabine, Ezra, and Friends end up bringing some of that species back with them to the known galaxy? P.S. I'm wondering: Are any of the things within those coffin-like crates, Ysalamri, to combat Force-users? Or, are there corpses in there, to be reanimated by Nightsister Magick? I believe most of the army onboard The Chimaera are the survivors of the last 10 years...however, SOME of them may be something else. I suspect, Enoch is a creature native to this new galaxy...he seems like he might become a significant adversary. Again, major congrats to you Guys ascending in your efforts. You'll be at 2k Subscribers, by the end of this weekend. The Threads Of Destiny demand it. 😊 May The Force Be With You...

9:13 To get more of Mother Talzin's story you could read the "Son of Dathomir" comic which is one of the 10 clone wars arcs (from planned seasons 7 and 8) which Disney cancelled after taking over star wars. Screen Rant has a list on their website with 9 of the 10 arcs and their description, with only the arc missing where Plo Koon takes a little Ahsoka from her village to the jedi temple to become a jedi.

to the guy who said "5 bucks they gonna kiss", don't pay these 5 bucks yet. I mean Ezra may very well cool down since the first season of Rebels and consider Sabine a sister/friend now, but Sabine most certainly did not travel between galaxies, risking the life or her mother/older sister Hera and her son and Zeb and lots of other friends she knows just to save one relative/friend. I believe her actions have another explanation - she is in love. And I think we will see it before the end of the season.

Star Wars isn't even SF/Fantasy... before it is even Space Opera or Cowboys/Pirates in space, it is, and always has been a fairy tale. "A long time ago in a galaxy far far away" has been a stand in for "once upon a time" from the very start. This is why I hate content like ANDOR so much. (That's right, hate.) Filoni understands and has been giving this to us in spades.

While the prison break sequence was well done, the rest of the prison sequence was just a painful to sit through homage to THX1138.
