First look at The Flipper Files, the archive of world renown surfer, photographer, videographer, horticulturalist and all around good guy - Pete Hodgson. Who can you spot out here on this North Shore day? The Momentum generation mixed in with local heavies along with traveling pros from Australia and California. A nice mix of personalities make up a typical day on the North Shore in '93. Surfing has changed over the years and in 1993 these guys were right in the middle of the transition from the 80s into the 90s and beyond.
Todd Chesser, Shawn Briley, Derek Ho, Munga Barry, Davey Miller, Sunny Garcia, JBG, Cheyne Horan, Mike Stewart, Ben Severson, Shane Dorian, The Malloy brothers, Davey Cantrell, Liam McNamara are a few of the usuals you would guess out there... who else do you spot?
This is our first look into The Flipper Files (The Archive of Pete Hodgson).
The Pete Hodgson Archive is being managed by Nalu and is secure in The Nalu Vault.

EPIC! Pete, a former US Champ when it really meant something, became a fireman, then moved to Hawaii and took up th media game. Known mostly for his still photos, he was an excellent filmer and is one of the best and most versatile still and video guys ever, anywhere from land or water. Stoked to see this, thanks !

Some of these waves were in momentum but filmed from a different angle than Taylor steeles filming. It’s pretty sick seeing this footage from over 30 years ago! Big thanks for sharing 🤙

@williamhanley7031 I've worked I.C.U. for a full career. Anoxic brain injury failed suicide attempt .... trachea breathing, tube feeding, 24-hour RTC nursing.... IS..... Well, you call it what you like.
Those were my years....too bad Laka blew his knee. He had a career in front of him . Neon and needle end boards and Noah would go on to win the Eddie🤙🏼
