I accidentally did a wereturkey playing sharades for the first time not knowing you couldn’t make a sound. (It was meant to be a normal turkey) I think we were all on the floor laughing for a solid 15 minutes.

Most of my family is, how can I put it nicely, challenged at sharades. So to keep the game moving they allow noises to be made but no words. Makes the game funnier imo.

"were" is an old english world for "man." To say a creature is a "were" anything is just mashing the word "man" with the other animal. In other words, if you're ever told to picture a were creature, the only way to follow that instruction is to picture something that is at least part human at least part of the time. I guess I get that you can decide the turkey is the one cursed to become human-like, but it doesnt really jive well with their being perplexed to find feathers on themselves.

They were owned by a big mother company that dropped them without warning about a year and a half ago, I believe. Paired with corona, they suddenly really had to focus on their most successful ventures, which was mainly the Dropout subscription shows Game Changer, Dimension 20, and Um Actually. Making sketch comedy just wasn't feasible anymore, so they stopped
