I acctually LOVE AUDIBLE!!! Except for a minor hick-up with THE DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE series I pretty much "read" all of the books you recommend, by listening to them on audible. It's great because I don't have time to sit down and read, at the moment. I have also always been a slow reader. Unless the books are extremely captivating I quickly lose track of the words on the page and drift off into my own thoughts (probably a little dislexic and a little ADHD (daydreaming type)). Nonetheless I have read many books and I enjoy reading books, when they agree with me and keep me engaged. But audible is good for books even when they don't continuously would have kept me engaged. On the other hand having the person reading the text already predetermines how some of the story will come across. Reading usually is a very intimate activity and using audible invites a third party into that imaginative conversation between the reader and the book. It feels awkward at first, but it is possible to get used to it. I have also gotten used to the problem of often falling asleep while listening and later not being able to find the place I was last conscious ^^. It takes a little getting used to. But once you do. It's totally fine.

Cari’s vlogs are simple yet visually stunning. Everything just seems like it flows perfectly. I hope that she’ll be able to attain more success in this world ‘cause she deserves it.

What is simple about luxury??

Cari, it is so healing to watch someone on a public platform like this be so open and vulnerable and unapologetically themselves. I hope you can always feel the love of your community (us) when you feel down! Thanks for being you, thanks for sharing your story with us, and thank you so much for making my curiosity about this country grow immensely over the last two years since I discovered your channel. Your videos are like watching the country through a Ghibli lense. You always show the beauty within everyday life. I am going to Korea for the first time in two weeks. It's my first trip outside of Europe, I am so so excited (also nervous), and I already bookmarked some of your recommendations on naver maps! Yay~

It’s ok to cry Cari. My grandad passed away almost 20years ago but I still tear up everytime I think or talks about him. So It’s ok. ❤ On a lighter note, I can finally travel to South Korea again! Omg I can’t wait to be back in December!

Your blogs always makes me want to explore the city, I feel every place is magical as long as you think it is, and your cinematography reminds me of that. You are starting autumn, but we are starting spring (I'm a South hemisphere peep) so it's a perfect season to go around the city and enjoy the flowers and parks as the weather is getting warmer! so sorry to hear about your loss, cari. thank you for sharing and not being afraid to open up about the ebbs and flows in life. i'm living abroad as well and my grandma also just passed. i just returned from visiting family and friends back home, many of whom i hadn't seen in years (because of covid, and everyone just going about their lives). i really tried to appreciate each moment-it's crazy how your world can feel so big and so small at times.

So sorry for your loss cari. I lost my grandmother a couple of years ago and being able to recognize cognitively that she was ready and had a beautiful life full of memories, didn’t change the fact that I still miss her and knowing she was there and knowing we no longer had her to enjoy being with as a family. I’ve found that I mostly focus on the good things but every now and then a very distinct memory will hit me. Fortunately I smile with the memories more than cry. 💔

Condolences on your loss. Having lost 2 family members, and 2 dear friends in the last 2 years, I well understand how sobering that can all be. It really brings home what the real priorities in life are; it's not things, it's the people you know and love. Being older, I've come to realize life is a stream of moments, then they're gone. Being kind, and bringing goodness to people is the best way to create the memory of those moments, for them and for you. Your videos are captures of moments, and they're done beautifully. Cari! I am so sorry for your loss, I hoping your nana went peacefully into her journey. It's always hard to lose a loved one, but the blow softens with time, as my experience showed. For wisteria - the ones in our botanical garden bloomed too. AGAIN. I have no idea what is happening except sadly... global warming confusing the heck out of us and plants. And that blue cafe... I am in love.
