Sad ain't it that was one of the whole points of dvd/bluray, the storage would allow for so much more content for release like behind the scenes stuff. Now in the age of streaming where storage isn't an issue we get nothing...god dammit lol. FYI thank you Karen for doing this, I love this kind of stuff.

It seems inherent, to be honest, as if vlogs are just naturally the best evolution of behind-the-scenes. Something about it being done from a personal viewpoint -- what she says, who and what she chooses to record, and the tone she sets from her emotions about each part of the process -- is a lot of fun. Because someone else in a different role, whether a co-star or a member of the crew, could make the process seem like an entirely different film! A professional project is best for posterity and serious education but this, for fun insight and knowledge, is great.

Great to see how Gillian interacts with everyone so well, from the car driver through to senior production staff. Really down to earth and respectful, funny and engaging, she comes across as a really good person. Enjoyed this behind the scenes, thanks for posting and what a job to have.

I really started to fall in love with Nebula's character when I saw Tony and her waiting to die at the beginning of end game and the football she was playing with Tony. You saw her taking care of Tony while the oxygen was being depleted and you knew that she would take care of him even in death. Incredible growth of her character thought the series of movies. As a movie buff. This was very intriguing to see how you guys actually work on and off the screen on a movie set. And damn man being a movie actor/actresses has to be so exchusting. Even doing the press and promos. Even the behind the scenes crews gotta be tiring to as well. Thanks Karen

You deserve multiple awards and accolades for this performance. Best character development in all the MCU, by far

Kudos to Karen for allowing all of the crew to get some recognition. Really fun to get a sense of what goes on in an actor’s day. Whole lotta work for a few moments of screen time, but it paid off. Loved this movie, and Nebula is definitely a highlight!

What's blowing my mind right now is this vlog has some effort put into it. There's the b-roll with the lofi beats, timelapse, narrating, QnA. I can watch these on the daily.

Nice to see how a down to earth person Karen really is... a real life snippet of what does it take to be a movie star, never ever thought about all these things. Such a rewarding, but really busy life.

This is the kind of "Behind the scenes" we need more of. Showing the real people, the real process, shining a light on what is always a dark secretive void. So much goes into these movies, it's important to see that appreciated. And it's even more amazing with you as the guide! James Gunn: A day in the life of Nebula? So Mean all the time? Actually the polar opposite. What a joy. Thanks for the last 10 years of Nebula!

@@davidpo5517 my son had me watch Jumanji, and then had me watch infinity war, and the endgame, and all the guardians of the Galaxy, and I stumbled upon the fact that that girl plays nebula, and he couldn’t believe it.

This is by far the best "Behind the Scenes" footage I've ever seen. A lot of behind the scenes stuff shows like 1 second of anything useful and the rest of the time people talking about it. It's nice to actually see it all for once, completely unedited.

I love how Nebula has grown, overcome her history and has moved forward. She has really become one of my favorite Guardians!

What ?! The studios don't want us to see just how many people it takes to make these highly complicated films and the 100's of behind the scenes cast to make the stars look awesome? I think this is the best behind the scenes I seen of Marvel.

This was so much better then most behind the scenes. Lot of times the behind the scenes you get from the studio are over-produced, fake, and hardly gives you a feel for the real cast and crew working their ass off to make the movie. because studios dont want people to understand that a movie isn't built on a hierarchy but is built by all parts operating as one, even if it has someone's vision in mind. Humanizing the people that make movies real could undermine that "value" they bring to the table as executive producers.

yes, I think lots of times people try to cut out the things that are boring / everyday to them, but unfamiliar to most

Karen bringing iPad to set but still got into trouble is the most savage thing anyone could do just to give people content on what it’s really like as an actor to make all these films!

That looks like a lot of hard work, everything from having the mental work of memorizing lines, to patiently sitting while they do makeup, to really hard physical things. It's very interesting, thanks for the insight! Love your work!

This is one of the best BTS I've seen, thanks for taking the time (and the trouble) to make it and sharing it with all of us. BTW, congrats for your short film "The Hoarding" I watched in some time ago and hope you keep on doing more own/personal projects.

Shout out to Karen for putting a spotlight to all the people behind the camera who are responsible for making a movie possible. We see the various departments listed in a movies credits but without all the matte painters, hairdressers, makeup artists, carpenters etc. a movie wouldn't be possible.

After seeing your life for a week, and all you have to go through to become Nebula, I just wanted to say Thank You for your dedication! As a fan, I really appreciate all of the work you put into this movie franchise!

Honestly this is how behind-the-scenes is best enjoyed. No high production and awesome cuts, just Karen doing her daily things. It has actually changed my view of actors and movies now, seeing that it's not all glamor and red-carpet events. It's a job, it's work, it's like going to school, learning lines and body movements and it is long hours! Karen is human, who knew?! It has also made me appreciate the amount of work that goes into one small part of a movie. I mean all those people and electronics, and planning, just for a few minutes of movie. It's insane! I love your energy with the crew around you, you're a team working on doing the best job, and that's refreshing to see. Bonus credits to your crew: Fitting all that luscious hair of yours into a bald cap! Most impressive!

I could not agree more. There's no movie magic to be preserved in hiding this stuff, this stuff IS the movie magic. It doesn't make me think less of the films; in fact in a time of personal Marvel fatigue for me it brings back a bit of the wonder to see the serious work that goes on despite the feeling of effortless turnout from my perspective.

You were so good as Nebula. Especially in Vol. 3 and Endgame. Extremely Talented.

I've always found behind the scenes so fascinating because I really want to get into the movie industry! I did some work experience on a Star Wars set a few months back and so this was actually pretty similar. The early hours were a real shock to me!

Seeing Karen being this alter ego for nebula an being energetic is kinda fun to see

I hated Nebula at the start but the character had such an incredible arc, one of the most fulfilled arcs in the MCU too. Nebula and Rocket have an amazing chemistry and companionship, you could tell they spent a lot of time together after the snap. If Nebula doesnt return again then i am satisfied with how the character ended in GOTG3

Alot of people who disliked her at the beginning forget that she's like a whole ass cyborg because of how much Thanos ripped her apart and put her back together just like Rocket had done to him. They are both basically monsters in their own eyes at the start of us meeting them and through time they eventually realized the hatred and anger isn't worth holding onto and family is because the others don't see them as failures or mistakes.

I love being able to see the faceless people that actually make these films possible, it should be normal for actors to be able to film their experiences on set. You know as long as they aren't actively making filming harder or releasing spoilers ahead of the movie's release. But really, this shows you that actors jobs aren't always as "easy" as they seem.

This is absolutely amazing that she took the time to actually do this and share some of the things she does behind the scenes. I read somewhere that the makeup session for characters like hers take multiple hours to put together. It is amazing what they all go through to put together entertainment for everyone to enjoy. So much appreciated. Just saw this now well after I saw the film - which is very good.

Miss Gillian is always a joy to watch and is so much a source of truth and spontaneity.

Honestly the most impressive thing to me is that they can actually get all of Karen's hair hidden away like that. As much as I have loved Nebula in the movies, I was so scared for Karen that she would have to spend years in wigs while playing that character.

I don't know how deep into filming this is, but I love that you can already see James Gunn, the director stressed and tired out of his mind, because that's what a director becomes when they give a shit

Really enjoyed your video of a week in the life of Nebula And it shows how dedicated you have to be to be an actor . Just came across this and it's BRILLIANT! Thank you Karen and I hope you'll consider doing another vlog in the future.

I really love the candid, rough nature of this. A lot of behind the scenes content tends to be heavily edited and curated, but this feels very raw and real. Just little things, like chatting with the driver who picks you up at 4:00 AM, or the breakdown of the costume, or chatting with Gunn and Sean behind the screens. Great job!

I hope movie studios let actors do this more often. It's so great to see a pov of the entire process. Karen this was great!

This was awesome! Makes me happy to know that one of my fave actresses is so down to earth and sweet!

It's really good to see when somebody enjoys every minute of their work.

The best behind-the-scenes of anything I've ever watched. You can actually get a feel for what it's like to work on a movie like this. Here's hoping more actors make these kinds of videos! Also, it doesn't hurt that Karen Gillan is charming and you can see the crew genuinely likes her.

She did it on Doctor Who, also, as did David Tennant.

People think it’s just a movie, but this shows just how much effort and work goes into it. This is just in this snippet. I actually sat and watched the last Guardians movie ending credits, and the massive amount of people involved is insane. It’s amazing how they package and organize it all up in a great movie.

Jaw dropping moment when we enter the trailer. I could totally hang out in there for a week and not miss anything.

I cried when Nebula was happy at the end, knowing how much trauma she's carrying. It was deeply moving.

this type of content goes SO FAR in humanizing the directors, actors, and crew involved in Hollywood. Which is very important. Its easy to put them on a pedestal when all you see is world famous actors in world famous movies. But I find the people behind it all way more interesting. Really they are just people like you and me, and its really really cool to see that displayed through content like this. Thanks so much Karen. This is incredible.

i wish they let more stuff like this slide even if its way way after release and cleared by the studio or director or something bc this is just so fun and entertaining to watch

This is way better than other "behind the scenes" shown. Probably because we get to see it from an actors perspective.

I'm not much of a film person at all, but it's always incredibly interesting to get a genuine look behind the scenes of large projects like this. No flashy editing or awkward interviews or scripted voice overs or manipulative music, just raw captures of arbitrary moments of real people doing real things.

Its never this happy. Its only because she's an actor that everyone is pretending to be so happy. Craw are usually very miserable people. The stress and hours they put in is very rough but yeah, it's not this happyness and sunshine.
