It feels like it belongs on Netflix (that's a good thing)

No Laying Up covers LPGA and and Korn Ferry events in detail, which already distinguishes them from most other golf outlets. But what makes them a class above is that they don't do it for some sort of clout - they do it because they genuinely care about the game of golf at all levels and want it to succeed. I have so much respect for that and it really makes me put NLU in a different class than any other golf outlet out there. As someone who, in all honesty, would never normally care about the LPGA, this makes me want to tune in and see how Madelene does. And I really doubt that I'm the only one who feels that way. You can tell they actually fucking care and aren't doing it because they feel like they'll get something out of it. That makes a difference and is really fucking cool.

My thoughts exactly - the only way you put the time & effort to create something as good as this, when it won't get nearly as many views as some other outlets, is that you are driven by something deeper (which it always feels that they are)

Best NLU video ever? Is right up there guys. When Madelene dunked it from the bunker my jaw literally dropped in the hole as well, freaking perfect

Best move NLU has ever made was hiring DJ and hats off to them for recognizing the talent/what they needed

That was one of the most enjoyable pieces of content I've ever consumed, and I'm not just limiting that to golf content. Bravo, all of you. What a way to grow the ladies' game! Madelene has a new fan.

My wife hates golf. My wife hates how much I love golf. My wife sat next to me and watched almost all of this with me. As others have said in the comments - this goes well beyond 'golf' or 'youtube' content. Just spectacular stuff.

This channel is criminally... CRIMINALLY underrated. Great stuff, DJ.

As a Swede now also living in the USA it's hard not to feel immensely proud of how this fellow Swede conducts herself. What a champ.

So many golf fans who probably normally wouldn't follow women's golf are going to now because of this video. and that's not to take anything away from the quality of women's golf - if anything, it's a testament that they just need people to tune in once in order for them to get hooked

This is so sick. There were numerous points where I thought, “no way they show on course play”, “no way they show tournament play” then “holy shit we get the weekend too!?” Unreal job, so in-depth and so cool

This was so stupidly good. In a world where golf youtubers are filming one round and squeezing three to four postings out of it, what possessed you guys to pour this much time and effort into something that frankly wasn’t guaranteed to get clicks?? Whoever pushed internally to get this made, kudos to you. This was equal parts humanity and golf, and that’s just not an easy thing to do. This is easily the best original content I’ve consumed on KZread. I’ll be checking lpga leaderboards way more often now, and looking for Madelene, hopefully above that cut line. NLU will be to Madelene what Tom Coyne was to Carne.

This was LEGIT, boys. Perhaps your best, and definitely near the top. This kind of storytelling is unmatched right now in the golf industry.

Watching the masters last week with my 5 year old daughter she asked "but where are all the girls?" Now I get to show her how good women's golf can be, and in an even better setting than a simple highlights package. I am saving this to watch with her and can't wait for more episodes.

Cried my eyes out and I’m not ashamed to admit it. What a inspiration Madelene Sagström is to young people to follow your dream and never give up. Speaking out about abuse and hopefully giving other people the confidence to be able to speak up about their own abuse. Very powerful documentary guys amazing work 👍. I cried watching this but it was because I felt so proud and happy watching someone overcome a traumatic experience and absolutely crush life 🏌🏻‍♀️ so cool

Epilogue: she'd go on to finish one shot off the winning score at Carnoustie (bogeyed 18 on Sunday) - she was paired the final day with Scottish amateur phenom Louise Duncan (who we might see at the '23 Solheim in Spain, don't be surprised). More notably, she was the one who picked up Nelly's ball on 13 in the Saturday fourball at Inverness (the "overhanging ball" controversy). She recovered on Monday to win a crucial early singles match vs. Ally Ewing, 3&2, that helped create Euro momentum that the US team couldn't overcome. Agree with the majority of the comments: aside from the occasionally loud background music, this was very well done!

Seeing tournament play via the shots that DJ composed was spectacular. I get that it’s not a 1:1 comparison but it’s amazing that they’re not capable of or not trying to bring some of these vantage points to golf on TV. Separately, Madeline really shines and man what a beautiful swing that is.
