Proceedings took a dramatic turn in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial Wednesday after a standoff between one of the lawyers and the judge.
Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng: "I have been on the bench for 20 years, I have practised as an attorney for 30. I have never been accused of being a crook."
Advocate Zandile Mshololo: "I am also an advocate, I have a right to stand up and defend the accused."
The spat between the judge and Mshololo ensued after she stood up to raise an objection regarding how State advocate Ronnie Sibanda was cross-examining accused number one
