A Walk Around York And The Shambles | York Rowntree Park 2018 Pt2
We take a walk into York, which about 10 minutes from the site and have a look around York, the Christmas Markets, The Shambles and I go up Cliffords Tower, York Castle.
As for Christmas shopping, we'll leave that for another day.

Nice to see the Shambles, and inside Cliffords tower. Pity the weather wasn't better. Looking forward to the train museum even though I was there in September.

You will need to book well in advance we have booked for September and could only get midweek pitches.
York is a beautiful little City, I must visit as a tourist. But, navigating a 44t artic round there is a nightmare.

Covered in Paint I remember when I went there a few years ago that there were 2 school visits and it was full of loud and excitable kids ...maybe they think dogs might react

Well there you go the country as been giving us false information, they would have us believe that we are a nation of dog lovers. The truth is now out we are 99.99% a nation of dog lovers.

tiddy irvine yes we leave a sign which says “Sorry I’m pitched here” sign which we bought from reception at one of the C&MC sites. Attached it to some wood to place it in the ground
Your dog is well-behaved, but unfortunately not all dogs are. Here in the USA, rarely are dogs allowed in any public venue. Sadly, it only takes a few poorly trained dogs to stop the public from taking their beloved pets with them. I commend you for how well Poppy behaves. . .far better than most children!
