No doubt the map is much larger than the other but the time leap on this video is because CJ walks much slower than Tommy and Claude. The walk animation on VC and III is like a jog and the walk animation on SA is like CJ is actually walking

@@dankscoob6248 Its a bug common on the PC Steam release of the game, the Retail Release of the game doesnt have this issue though as well as those on the console and so on. There are patches for it though if you ever decide to buy GTA III on steam

i stuck up this video to prove i don't use speed hacks/mods to complete the walks kzread.info/dash/bejne/aZyZxrSYmpzKqLA.html (the only video i ever used speed hacks/mods in was No Mans Sky which i clearly state.) i will sometimes add in the odd visual mod to make the game look better, mostly do this to make the video look better on KZread as they downgrade the quality once i upload it.

In San Andreas your character automatically jogs as well, he held the walk button.

As beautiful and detailed as GTA V is, GTA 4 just has that something that makes it so charming.

The power of nostalgia is really amazing. Despite years my eyes shine for fra gta3 VC and SA. Gta 5 left me blank. Great video by the way!

You don't get the point of comparison then. If you want to know which map is bigger numerically, you can easily look it up. What matters in a game is the subjective map size, and that's where you have to factor in travel speed and the density of "points of interest".

Which criteria do you use to establish what's "across"? In San Andreas you missed San Fierro, Las Venturas and all the desert and i sincerely doubt that GTA V was so short

walking from corner to corner by the longest route possible and at the slowest speed possible is usually the way, i try to give a sense of scale of the maps, well hopefully haha

This music is supposed to be used in video's like "Top 10 saddest moments" or something... Bad music choice

The character was always in the same spot on the screen, when he speeds it up we see the few frames of that animation so quickly it seems it's moving in real time.

You jogged in vice city and in gta 3. But you walked in San andreas. Your times arent accurate.

You can't walk in those games, so I used the slowest speed possible in each one.

You could jog in San andreas though. You cant compare jogging and walking. Those can make a drastic difference in timing.

When I was 14 GTA Vice City was famous as fuck, in that time I was a lot of a bully victim. GTA VC was one of the few things helped me to escape from reality.

Why did it take so long to go across SA though, isn't the map much smaller?

I loved Gta 4 even with that depressing look that it gave the cars were designed very nicely compared to the last Gta like vice city stories everyone forgets about Lcs and vcs they where big to I mean chinatown was but it wasn't better then Gta 4 dude but you just can't leave Gta 5 out with that gun customization and car customization and online man then go back to when it first became 3d in Gta 3 ppl leave that game out Gta 6 needs to be vice city that would be dope see if it was London what kind of cars would it have probably lame cars and no customization on cars that would suck if it was vice city however there would be cool cars and customizations and rock star wouldn't have to start from a 2d world to go into a hd/4k world meaning scorpio and now in the future if you never played vice city or vice city stories you just wouldn't understand me .......D: I hope u do:D

Damn, San Andreas was long. I can’t believe you just spent an hour an a half on that game non-stop walking. I’m actually surprised at how short GTA V took as well. Either way this a huge commitment and I don’t think anyone else could’ve done it / congrats dude you’ve just earned a sub

The only Gta I will truly miss, is Gta 4. I grew up playing that game, so many memories from all those hours playing it. I know Liberty city's map off by heart. Waypoints weren't necessary. The physics were awesome, and it had my favourite car by standard, the Blista Compact. You could enter restaurants and eat, and the whole city felt like a real, functioning city. Long live Grand Theft Auto IV

+Trojan Hippo I think GTA V has about 3 times larger map than San Andreas. Here's a picture, that shows you the real sizes of San Andreas: i.imgur.com/q2WuaVZ.jpg As you can see, Mount Chiliad is about 5x higher than a tree, and about 4-500 meter wide. In GTA V this mount is about 2,5 Km wide. So GTA San Andreas is a grat game, but we must be aware with the sizes

+Hugh Egg Its similar to the effect of when you see helicopter blades moving really slow on tv. its a mix of playing in 60fps and then speeding it up, its too fast to see.

+Hugh Egg My guess is that they timed it so that each frame in the time lapse hit just slightly further along in the character's walking animation, maintaining a flip-book semblance of their normal gait.

i don't think that is why. I thought of that but that sounds too convenient. I understand how that works because I am a video editor and that is extremely rare for things to just match up like that. something is definitely off.
