We had kind of a crazy day yesterday, but all is well! I’m glad to have those appointments finished and moving on. Today’s question is...have you ever tried Bubble tea? If so, did you love it or hate it? I wish so badly I was filming that time I gave my sister a taste test of bubble tea- it was priceless! What’s your guess- did she love it or hate it? Hahaha I’ll tell you the answer later :)

Nothing is worse than being in the hospital and having your hippa violations broken.....you never recover...it's awful...I cry often over it. ( the gossip was wild and incorrect)..I understand how Mary feels different things from hospital tests or stays...affect our lives.

You make my day! Few things: 1. "No low-grade fever or headache"- your cheeks aren't as flushed as they've been. 2. I'll have to find a recipe for the tea. I'm curious. 3. I too prefer landmarks over directions but sometimes... I'll never forget my Mom's best friend's "turn right before the covered bridge without a top" (it DID look like it!) And the lady (when we'd moved here about 3 wks - "Now you turn L at where the old Lowe's used to be." "Does it still have the sign?" "Oh no, Honey. They built & moved to the new one about 7 yrs ago now." I LOVE it!

Someday Ollie should have a whole vlog where he 'talks to the people" about his day.

I went to Singapore 6 yrs. ago to visit my son and family. Bubble tea was everywhere........YUK!

You two deserve a date in Boston! (Without the "People"😊)❤

I wanted to share that we are wrapping up respiratory care week :) It ends today! I know you have probably ran into a few respiratory therapists over the years! Love your blogs and thank you for sharing your story.

You are not a "medical nerd". It's important to know what is wrong with your body so that you can understand everything, ask questions and to be an advocate for yourself. I see you as a wealth of information. I have medical issues currently including not walking at all and I also agree that familial support is amazing. God bless you both.

Oh my goodness, been watching you for years but this is the first time I have been so early. I have nothing of interest to say but I just had to leave my mark. Big hugs.

Out of all the things Mary gets a reaction from (health wise) your smiles are just what contaminates me.. makes me feel good to watch you guy :)

I remember doing the clinic thing at Hopkins for Spina Bifida when I was a kid (they only had a peds SB clinic). Chilling in a room for hours and wonder who is coming in next and when, LOL. Mary, I totally suck with directions too! Do you give directions by street names or landmarks? Haha!

Tapioca is the starch extracted from the Cassava roots... used for a thickening agent in foods, among other things~ and for starching our clothes! LOL

I have a rare condition, and so my doctors always have to do peer-to-peer with my insurance company to get things approved. Such a pain, but it usually gets sorted out. Being patient can suck though!

Mary I'm a medical nerd too and love reading the drs medical guides/ journals ect lol glad I'm not the only one!! 😀 Glad you had a much better experience in radiology this time! It does make a huge difference when u get kind ppl! I knw it's rough doing a bunch of appts in one day but I knw it's often better all at once, that's how me n my chronically ill hubby do it too! :)

Katie Maldonado I’m also a Type 1 Diabetic, I wear a pump and have recently got a Dexcom! The Dexcom is amazing , but most insurance companies in Canada don’t cover CGM’s! 👎 But the blood sugar control I’ve achieved while wearing the Dexcom far outweighs the price!

Haha! Lol! You both crack me up and get through struggles with no problem like myself. By the way, I can totally understand getting emotional with music. I was severely sick in February in a coma and Christian music that my Mom and I thoroughly enjoy was played the several weeks that I was hospitalized. The music helped get me through so much and still do to this day. I do still get emotional when particular songs play, but of course it is for good reasoning. Glad that there weren't any issues with your port. Keep up the good work Butter Cup! Love and hugs to you all!

In the summer of 2013 I spent a lot of time in the hospital. Like you said- not miserable stays, but still no fun being sick. I played Candy Crush constantly. Now, whenever I hear the music to it, my mind goes right back. I still mess with the game sometimes, but i can’t play it with the music on any more.

My health has really been declining lately and it's been incredibly difficult to stay positive and get through each day with such bad pain and lots of health issues but your videos always encourage me and inspire me so I just wanted to say thank you!! 💜❤ You three are always in my prayers! ❤💙🐕

Hi Frey family! I'm new to ur channel. I have Lupus ,a port and used to have a j tube. My dad is a retired Nazarene pastor in Mi. I am now going to research on caring for my own port at home especially with my nursing background. I never was offered this option to home flush. I drive 45 min. To go to a place where they know how to access my port. Thank u for sharing ur story, faith and knowledge. P. S. Great sermon on Psalms Sunday 😄

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BOBA. There's a Chatime right by where my violin lessons are, and so we stop by before we go home, my favourite flavour is definitely the Chatime milk tea with pearls 👅

Flavored bubble tea is pretty American. ;) Bubble tea originates from Taiwan and typically isn't flavored. We have milk tea (black tea with milk), black tea, green milk tea, and green tea. We can also choose how much ice and sugar we want. My favorite is no ice, no sugar green bubble tea. The sweetness of the boba flavors the whole tea. Yum! Give it a try next time!

I went to New York (I live in the UK) and one of the important things when I was there was to experience bubble tea. It was actually delicious but you couldn’t drink too much of it. I have now found that they do sell it in the UK as well but not very many places.

I'm very blessed to have a Dexcom that is paid by my insurance. Many of my Diabetic friends are not so lucky having to pay out of pocket for the CGM. I often deal with guilt... I really hope it helps you :)

I heard you talking about bubble tea before, so last month when I was on the east coast visiting my brother, I had to try it! It was so good. I probably never would have tried it if I hadn't seen it in your videos.

I’m sure they have suggested this, but you may need to use a longer access needle. Often, just a little more length gets it into the port more firmly (even when you’ve been using the same size needle for awhile). A tiny bit of scar tissue or weight gain can changes things as well.

Can't believe a hospital has valet! In Australia we don't have that and would be soooooooo handy !

Mary Im so glad your port is ok put unfortunately my port quit working they couldn't access it in Interventional Radiology so now I need a new on

I had a panic attack while they had a guiding X-ray over me doing an injection into my hip. They were so sweet; they were like we can move it down some! And I'm just laying there wailing and saying no no no I want the doctor to have room to work with the needle! It was painful and traumatizing 😂 I'm extremely claustrophobic.

I love bubble tea so much. Tapioca pearls are the best! I hate the bursting boba so much, tapioca are chewy and magnificent

I love bubble tea, have to find a place here in Indiana.Hey, have you and Peter tried the Zombie Frap at Starbucks? I tried today and it was okay like the green apple flavor and it wasn't too sweet.

I tried bubble tea a few weeks ago after seeing you guys drink it so much. The tea itself tasted pretty good, but I couldn't really handle the texture of the boba.

I make it all the time and just received in the mail, 10 lbs. of boba! I will package it in smaller portions in vacuum packaging but I store my cooked boba in honey with brown sugar and it absorbs the flavor. So good! Then I take the amount I will use the next day and put it in a glass measuring cup with water and cook for 2 min. and it softens up, I drain it and pour into my iced sweet tea. Probably waaaaay more info than you ever wanted. :0D

I'm with you girl on being terrible with directions! I call myself directionally challenged :) hahaha

A lot of insurance companies don't cover Type 2 for CGM...I'm happy to see some will.

Does Mary go to the GI department in the children’s hospital in Boston (I’m pretty sure you said that she goes there) because my GI is sending me there and I’ve never been to that hospital in Boston I went to the other one I’m nervous about how like nice they are or caring I should say.
