Doing a great job, young lady. Noticed when using grinder that your hair is hanging down. You should tie it up. If it gets caught in grinder, it'll pull out your hair in a split second. Keep up the good work.

He’s not wrong about the grinder. Or anything that spins really. I had a cousin lose a chunk of hair once like that.

First the membrane then the bricks.

I also watch a young woman in Vietnam who builds almost everything on her land with the rocks and motar. Meanwhile, I sit in my recliner and be amazed. Fighting with that membrane would have sent me to the liquor cabinet. Well done Maya

Maya, Greeting from Croatia. You never cease to amaze me with your projects. Love your free spirit.
The sheer simplicities and beautiful distractions all set in the echoes from the past all seem so nostalgic as the old blends in with the new. The past blends seamless with the addition of the modern improvements. Like the glorious nature there all around you, your renovation is coming to life and breathing life....breathing life and evolving into your dreams! Blessings to you on this journey!
Nice progress! Thanks for showing a real ending of the video.
hello Maya, I dont understand why you dont put the membrane on the wall before putting the bricks? is there a step or a thing i miss? good job anyway, keep the energy :)
@mayafeliz

Hi, I left the stone wall open to breathe into the air gap to prevent mold. The membrane will be close to the brick wall to prevent most of the moisture to soak into the brick wall which is very thin.
You are a grafter Maya ! Keep up the good work. All the best from Aberdeen Scotland 🏴

It's not the best process to use portland cement-based mortar on old masonry. You should be using NHL (naturally hydraulic lime)mortar.

Thanks, I know that. I used half lime half cement because it's for structural support too.

Top work Maya, big love and keep dancing x
So much coming together this week! I remember being able to work as hard as you do (but not the joy you obviously get out of it; wow!). I'm older and pretty beat-up now, but I can still look around our home and see all that I've done in the past couple of decades. And I'm still at it, just much more slowly. Never stop because, why should you? We've had a very strange Spring here in Wisconsin, USA, too. Alternating between rain, wind, hot, cold, repeat. But our leaves have come out over the past couple of weeks, the birds are nesting, and we just planted five new trees.
wow love to see how it transform. and you are very skilled
I recommend you paint the old masonary inside wall with a masonary sealer. It will keep dampness out.
I love that you talk to your buildings
It will be interesting to see how the temperature inside to outdoors with these 2 rooms

Love to see you working, finding out the methodology your way, even sometimes it is wrong, but the end result is okay.❤❤
You could add some rocks to the river to dam up the water to create a swimming pool. Loving the content btw. Great work.
Great video Maya! 🙌🏻 A word of advice if I may: Be careful with your hair when using the grinder.
Greetings from Melbourne 🇦🇺
Love the river. You were fortunate to find land with houses and a river through it!
Your place is so tranquil. I think i might be trying to figure out how to hide a small modern water wheel that sits directly in the river (if you're allowed to do so). You could probably power your entire site for free with one or more of those.

Check into something called Grout bags. You could squeeze the grout into small spaces like frosting and then smooth with a trowel.

Grama from Canada , love watching your adventures, YOU GO GIRL!!!!
Your attitude is great. I am so glad you are learning new skills too. The river is beautiful. I'm thinking you can make a pool in your yard. Just make it with bricks! Well, cement blocks would be better. But you have that nice beach, so you can just go there and swim. It is such a lot of work to fix up the old structures. You are doing a great job of it. Be well and keep motivated.
MAYA Eline emeğine sağlık bu güzel vlog ve video için kolay gelsin hayirli işler bol bereketli kazançların olsun 👍👍👍👍
You should consider using that little waterfall area for hydropower!
NICE JOB
amazing how much positiv energy you have. keep up the good work
The more i see the more amazed i am by your dedication and hard work.
For "Old wall" preferred a lime mortar because the wall “breathe”, cement mortar is waterproof and retains humidity. Hope this is not too late??? Bon courage.

Adding the wall won’t (on its own) stop condensation. What are you planning to do to increase airflow… extractor??

Je me demandais aussi si l’air « emprisonné » entre les 2 parois ne redistribuerait pas l’humidité vers le mur en brique? je n’ai pas vu d’isolation avec une membrane étanche coté extérieur du nouveau mur😮

I have a question , the black dust in the wall is Moho? Do we have to scrap de wall with a steel brush before put the cement? O it is right to put the cement over the Moho?

A little tip for straightening pipes. Get a piece of wood and drill a hole through it the diameter of the pipe, then pull the pipe through it. It will straighten it without causing deformations.
Well done , doing it right and not fast , I love your patience and you perseverance. You can be very proud of yourself

There is something so addictive and satisfying seeing what love and effort can do to old forgotten structures! The work is amazing and you're really doing justice to the property. Not to mention that Portugal is unbelievably beautiful! Just found you a few days ago but I'll keep watching!

You are inspiring to watch, GO GIRL !
Great job, Mya!
Well done so fun to see it all come together 🎉
WOW! So great progress! Remember to have som ventilation openings and probably a bathroomfan in the wall that can be turn on and of when it it is moist in the room! So you have started whit hoolahoop
It looks wonderful, Maya!
You make nice and interesting videos. But I'm confused. How will the membrane help, when it's just hanging like a shower curtain? I can't understand how it will help for the moist. If the venting isn't good enough, the moist will collect at the floor. So wouldn't the moist content in the air be pretty similar on both sides of the curtain? Also I see you use concrete on the wall. Was the house originally built with concrete between the stones, of was lime mortar the original building material? I ask, because problems can occure later due to wrong choice of materials beeing used when repairing old stone walls.
great job!
Great job Maya the building work looks awesome

Curious if those blocks will be painted? Typically the strike (smooth out) the mudjoints for a cleaner. Can't wait to see the finished project. You are such a hard worker.
