I'm remodeling my kitchen, and my color scheme is inspired by the pink and blue vintage Pyrex colors. I can't wait until my new kitchen is finished and I can put my collection on display!

Lovely. I hope you use your Pyrex! I use my refrigerator dishes all the time for leftovers. It’s zero waste…no plastic! Especially love not needing the nasty plastic wrap. Makes the inside of the fridge into such a wonderful display. As a kid it bugged me I couldn’t see what’s in the fridge, but now I love my no plastic Pyrex. The yellow bowl, which I’m sure you know is part of a set, is my bread rising bowl. It’s simply perfect for that.

I have one just like that yellow one on the bottom but it has a red in color it was my grandmothers and it’s a piece that I cherish forever

The yellow pitcher and glasses set was made by WV Glass Co. Blendo glass was made by West Virginia Glass Company and was really popular in the 1950s and 60s and is still relatively easy to find now. Blendo glass is characterized by a bright neon/pastel solid base that fades as it goes up the glass and a gold rim.

I love pyrex. My mama only used pyrex. For me pyrex is classic and durable. Ty for sharing your collection.

I love Pyrex too, although my kitchen is done in more of a 1930's-1940's color theme. As a result, I use the Primary color sets more. I have the primary mixing bowls and refrigerator dish set. I use the large refrigerator dish to store eggs in the fridge l. Cut the lid off of a styrofoam egg carton, then cut the bottom in half short-ways (so that you have a set of 3 rows of 2 egg cups). Then just put them in the large refrigerator dish so that you have 3 rows of 4 egg cups and, voila! You can store a dozen eggs in it and I swear, it keeps the eggs fresher longer. That's why I also store milk in glass milk bottles, it gives me 3-4 extra days of fresh milk. Love your videos!

The original pyrex and fireking were made from borosilicate glass which has a low expansion under temperature changes, which is what laboratory glass is made from. I have several early pieces and use them all the time.

Yep, the newer Pyrex can shatter when taking from cold to hot and vice versa. I also heard older Pyrex (70s and prior) contained lead and arguments go both ways, some say it is safe to use and some say should be used for decorative purposes only.

Cat?! Pyrex?! This is what dreams are made of. I scared my husband when I audibly gasped at the thumbnail lol. The snowflake print is my favorite, but so hard to find!

It looks lovely. I have my mom’s china in my hutch. My dad purchased it in Germany when he was stationed there in 1957. They’re white plates with thin gold rims and a silver almost Greek key looking pattern as the trim. The only thing that dates it as mid-century modern is the shape of the coffee cups and pot and soup tureen. I don’t use it much because it has to be hand washed and is delicate.

Oh my gosh - my yellow mixing bowl! LOL. I’ve been using that forever and just now realized it’s Pyrex. I’ve got to go digging in my kitchen and see what other Pyrex treasures might be in there!

Love all the pyrex, I have a collection of my own. The yellow 1 1/2 qt dish with the lid was actually called a Hostess Casserole from 1949 - 1953 . It came with the 1 1/2 qt casserole dish (015) and 4 - 7 oz ramekins (407) with lids. It came in either Autumn Red or Harvest Yellow for the whooping price of $2.50, and you could buy matching individual dishes with lids for 39¢. You were also able to purchase just the casserole dish for $1.95 and came originally in Autumn Red and Harvest Yellow, later there are also variations in bright turquoise with matching lid and forest green (with a clear lid) There was also a Hostess Oven and Table Set. It came with the 2 1/2 qt dish (025) withOUT the lid and 4 matching 12 oz matching ramekins (410). Amazing that the original price was $2.95 and you could purchase extra small bowls for just 29¢ !!!! And again you could purchase just the 2 1/2 qt casserole in the Red or Yellow, and later came variations in color like Dove Gray, Pink Dessert Dawn, Patel Pink and Charcoal. I am just a novice collector but I love all things Pyrex. It started from when my mom had the Primary Colors Mixing Bowls and it grew from there. I live for the hunt and when I find a new piece I have to know the whole story behind it. Happy collecting, love your collection!!

I inherited all of my grandmother's pyrex when she passed away I don't have any full sets( I think some broke over the years) but she used to collect all sorts of dishes including bone china tea sets

I am not that big on Pyrex, but I can’t help but love what you have here, and the way you arranged them is so pretty! But your center glass items are more of what I personally enjoy collecting. Have you noticed how much vintage glass items are selling for? Wow….it’s at least doubled in the last few months!

Love seeing YOU …and all your Pyrex! I saw that drink set the other day on Mrs Maysel!! That yellow square casserole with yellow lid was also made in red. Production was 1950 to 1953, there were also sets of 4 ramekins. This is what I found in my Pyrex Passion Book….love that book!(not being paid to say that).
