The Fallout franchise is a good platform to understand somebody's psyche. The GTA franchise is a good platform to understand a functioning civilian/citizen's psyche. Wargames like Call of Duty is a good platform for understanding a psyche. People talk crap about video games but it's got so many damn pros, making tasks easier for higher powers.

exactly and on top of that you don't even need anyone at all but you and God. Soon your other WHOLE (not half or counterpart) shall match your energy, your values and life force as you remain disciplined, focused, focus on self value, clarity, forgiveness, healing, love, openness and perhaps lead to the light by the holy spirit in a time of satanic warfare more vibrant and visible in patterns and human hosts than ever before or within this modern era

I felt the same, by the way, I'm using this ted videos, to improve my English I was every time, pausing the video, and reading the subtitles, repeating it loudly, to improve my pronunciation :D Also sometimes I struggled to understand what she was referring , but I understood like 90% the 10% left was some words that I needed to confirm using a translator xD
You can tell this was something that weighed heavily on her heart for a long time. For her to share this vulnerable part of herself with the world in this specific and creative way is amazing and courageous. I wish I could find a way to imitate people who are like this. Keep up the great and inspiring work.

You shouldn't aspire to imitate people like her, but be inspired by people like her. Just be yourself, a better you!
@user-zm5sk4ht9c

You can be like her. Just try, be yourself but at the same time acquire the courage to step out of your comfort zone. I think what most of us fear is being ridiculed, judged and misunderstood and in fact almost always on the first try of sharing those personal parts of yourself you will fail and most people aren't going to understand. You will always fail in the first time and perhaps many others after. Courage and strength is that you keep trying despite having this humongous insecurity. From experience most of it disappears after the first time you step outside your comfort zone. :)

When I saw this video, I bought the game. I just completed it. The part about depression and the part with the two parents fighting, was so close to home with me. I've never talked about it, and how much it affected me. But I felt better knowing I wasn't the only one who dealt with that same struggle. Thank you
You guys need to play the game "Journey" . very short game. but incredible.

I'll never forget this one experience I had with that game. I had completed the game a few times, with my previous run being a 100% completion. I decided I wanted to do a no-pickup run just to see if I could. About halfway through the game, I got paired with a player who seemed to know the game pretty well. He immediately went for one of the scarf extensions as I intentionally walked past it. He then started moving and signalling frantically for a few seconds as if to say "Wait, you missed something!" I pointed my character directly at him, waited for him to calm down, signalled twice, then turned and continued on my way. He followed, and that was the end of that.

dionysos i cried almost as soon as she started explaining the way she felt in her toxic relationship because it resonated with me so deeply. It was nice because you don’t often consider that in reality so many people are, or have gone through similar feelings in their life that you’re facing right now. and you’re not alone, and people think similar to you and there is hope for improvement. you just have to persevere and never give up.

Thank you for bringing attention to this issue. 6 days into the new year and i am back to my toxic self destructive habits. Loneliness is definitely one of the major drivers for my current mental health situation and i want 2020 to be the year i become more open with people
Inspiring story! I love when people are able to things like this. Transform their bad experience in something useful for everyone!
I know how you feel sometimes, I’ve used philosophy to help me cope with my issues. I found not only was it theraputic but it gave me an intelligent to deal with the struggles in my life and in the long term I was able to help others with some of their issues. I think your artistic approch to not just making a game but expressing your emotions in a way that others can relate to in absolutely brilliant. I hope you continue on your journey.

I had a big problem with loneliness that was driving me to drink. When my young child wasn't around, I couldn't take it and I would drink. It took one simple, important question from someone else to snap me out of my throws; "Your child is growing and will be an adult sooner than you'd like. What will you do then?" I can't emphasize enough the importance of the role of perspective in combating mental health issues.

I've played games since I was 10. With a messed up family, eventually it became my escape, and then it became my prison. Loneliness was one of the prison guards in a sense. I'll definitely be playing this game, so thankful for Cornelia's work.

The game looks amazing! I love these kind of indie games! Thank you for putting your emotions into it!
Having played this game myself I have two things to say: 1. The idea itself is great and the execution is also beautifully done. 2. However, as a game it is terrible. Controls were so slow and inaccurate I couldn't continu playing after two hours. A shame to be honest. It deserved more with it's message

I never played it but, from a story perspective, I could understand why the controls may be that way. When someone is feeling alone and depressed, do you see them moving at a rocket's pace? Not all the time. Many are dragging their feet and not paying much attention to anything. I wouldn't expect myself to be quick and accurate when I'm dealing with things that I don't understand.

@@Hawkenwhacker I think you're point is half valid. Thinking back there were scenes where you would walk through unknown streets and such where this worked well. However when fighting a monster/five bullies or navigating a boat through narrow canals and having to retry ten times (no exaggeration) becomes really annoying very quickly.

I really enjoyed your presentation. Thank you for your beautiful message about understanding the wide spectrum of human emotions that we are confronted with in our lives. I believe repression of emotions is more harmful than opening up about them, and the ability to share our stories is what helps us to reclaim our personal power.
I just finished playing Sea of Solitude. Thank you for creating it Cornelia. Its a wonderful game.
I related so much with this game that i cried through majority of the gameplay, especially bc im an Empath, this game also helped me understand other people that were once in my life especially recently and Kay’s relationship even reminded me of my relationship in similar ways not 100% like every other part of the game but more than enough for me to understand that feeling and made me cry during her love life chapter.
Thanks for the great work you did by making up this videogame!
1 minute into the video and I just love how she speaks. I love her accent. I wish she was my friend and we talked often.
It's inspirating, thank you for sharing that.
I just passed through whole game, and fu**ng love it. Great emotional story.
The meaning behind this game is amazing. I saw a bit of this game on a youtube video a long time ago.
i would love to see this turn into movie. not many people play games but most people do watch movie. love the message through this game. every words she said is what i feel right now. eventhough i'm with my parents, i still feel extremely lonely. sharing sensitive feelings is not happening in my family plus me hiding my emotions also does not help either...

I dont think it would work the same way in a movie. For one reason, a big part of a game that deals with ur own mental health is being able to interact with the world yourself. And it keeps people way more engaged to be actually forced to act yourself. I also have to strongly disagree with the claim that not many people play video games. Especially mobile games have quite a diverse variety of players.
from what she thought was a horrendous and unfair hardship (albeit was Im sure as I have felt her pain and others as well) it drove her to make a game and share it and now so many people have been impacted, helped, inspired, motivated, healed and aware. Crazy how the contrasts, hardships, paradigms, parallels and symbolic stories occur toe shape how things go, how people do things and what becomes manifested/created because of them. S/O to Cornelia!
thank you for this.
Definitely going to play this game. Amazing visuals and meaning behind the gameplay

@@2Elemnt I agree and especially about staying under God's watch!! So many want to blame God, for their troubles burdens and grief. But, He isn't to blame!!! He never promised that the Cross would not get heavy or that the hill would not be hard to climb, But He did promise to always be there by our side, to help us to comfort us and to lift us up, if only we believe in Him and know that we are never alone in our times of trouble!!! God is real, His love is real and He and His love is a constant, unconditional, never changing Stability in our lives. All we have to do is call upon Him and Believe!!!
I've never been brought to tears by a video game, but there were a couple of moments in this game where my eyes welled up. I had no idea when I started playing that the game would be a sort of therapy session, but it was genuinely moving.

The game is really wonderful and portrays a beautiful message, I've just finished it on the Switch and I'm very happy I decided to play it :)
To be honest she created an WONDERFUL idea !! Shearing other people your personal feelings sometimes in anyway you feel comfortable with, it helps them to feel that they aren't not the only one and that they aren't alone it also helps you to feel better about yourself or even about your situation . And that's what's the game is all about . I love it !

Cool game! Video games helped me meet good friends who I talk to daily. I use multiplayer or co-op games like a modern day phone call but with us being able to have fun while we talk about life. It's a great way to see how your friends day was while kicking butt digitally. She's right about putting the work in to maintain friendships. I make it a point to contact a friend AND a family member every single day. Allow yourself some time to be social. It really helps your mentality
