My band was THE last band Rick produced as far as I know, because he said mid-production he was going to stop producing after this and put more time into his KZread channel. We've laughed lots, and even argued at times, but he made me a better guitarist/songwriter. Thank you Rick so much for still keeping in touch. Proud to call you my friend. Love to you as well Mary!

I left Rick's studio in Jan 2014 with an EP he produced with my band Osara, went into a coma in feb 2014 and by the time I was aware and awake (about 6mo), when I got on KZread I was SHOCKED to see Rick with white hair and missing his huge black beard that we knew him to have! Great experience and the most transformative for me musically and educational studio sessions I've ever been a part of. Ricks a gem! And Ken GL Lanyon is as well!

Yep, that's me. I arrived at Mary from their video together on Rick's channel about Jim Croce. Such a lovely video, and such love and empathy given to Jim in their discussion and exploration of "Operator". After seeing Mary there, how could you _not_ come here to share in her journey!

Thank you Mary and Rick. You guys are beacons of light and hope in this difficult journey.

Well this was an interesting video… I graduated with a degree in Music Ed from Berklee in 1980, have been a musician, audio producer for 50 years, teaching the same for the last twenty, so there’s not a lot Rick can teach me about content, but I still love to listen to him talk about anything and everything!! Rather than learning, it’s like hanging out with a contemporary and sharing stories. ❤ And the way you ended the clip, at “your” Berklee in Europe, continuing to share what you’ve received, was perfect!! 💥👊 Thanks for picking up the ball and helping the next generation!! 🤗 🙏🏼💪✌️🤗

Rick is the one You Tuber whose videos automatically get a watch. Rick reminds me a bit of another pioneer in putting music and musicians into the public eye: Dick Clark - of "American Bandstand" and "Rockin' New Year's Eve" fame. When I was producing a radio show, we had him on several times. He went out of his way to help us, even though we were nobodies and he was a titan of the music industry. That's just the way he was...always giving people a leg-up and advice. Also, he answered his own phone. If he wanted to talk to you, there was no flunky or assistant. You dialed the number, and he picked up.

Rick is the best. I got to see his show in Atlanta and the love from the hometown crowd was incredible. So fortunate to be able to attend that show. Thanks for all you do, Mary, for the music world. Rick was one of my first subscriptions and for an ageing amateur musician like myself, the Beato Book has been a revolution. Through Rick I discovered you (hoping to get to one of your gigs in 2024), Chris Buck, Paul Davids and so on. All who give freely of their time and talent for the benefit of us. Thank you to Rick and you and all the the amazingly talented musicians who post on KZread (and rant about it occasionally!).
