A Victorian Mourning Dress: The bodice

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

The next part of my 1894 mourning dress is the bodice. This was an interesting project and I love how it turned out. There will be still the third part in this series that concentrates on accessories that really finish the costume.

Hi do you add more than 5/8 seam?

Sorry for the late reply, KZread thought your comment was spam for some reason. Here the pattern had the seam allowance included. I think it was 5/8". I may add more, especially if I think the garment might be tight. With Finnish patterns that don't come with seam allowances, I usually just eyeball the seam allowances while I cut the pattern pieces.
