I later got a 71duster demon in later life with the sharks grill.... Sold it when I went in the military an gave the money to buy my mom a sofa set..... When I got home my dad got me a 70challenger rt 440. 4speed ... Good karma ... Thanks for sharing your story an bless ya brother...

My brother bought this Duster from the Chicago Auto Show afterwards at a dealer it was identical but black stripe, rear strip went longer around the lights, white vinyl top and was H - Code. Ran 13s out of the box and 4 years later it was running 11.04 @ US 30 Dragstrip it was the screaming sleeper on the streets.

I've always liked this car. I remember seeing it a number of times back in the mid '80's when I would come into the city with my Dart Sport. This was loonngg before I knew Trevor. We would see each other in our respective cars and wave to each other. Fast forward to about 2001, maybe 2002 I would like to say, and I heard from B.J. Wilson that this car was possibly for sale, so I asked him to find out as I was very interested, B.J. came back a week or so later and said no, wasn't for sale, so that was the end of it for me. Over the years, saw your brother's car around, car shows, show and shines etc. Fast forward again to about a year and a half ago, Trevor and I were visiting Bruce Baier and something came up about this car and realized it was Trevor and this car that I saw all those years ago, pretty cool. Oh yeah, and way back in the '80's, Trevor was running a tunnel ram on it without a hood, I remember thinking that was really cool. Just my story of this car... thanks for sharing yours Ian.

Man, that's a gorgeous '70 Duster. The best year to have as they had that 10:1 compression ratio. It's great that you and your brother were able to pool your talents in this wonderful project. What a special piece of musclecar history you have restored to be admired by fellow Mopar lovers such as I!
