I could just see Jimmy having fun making those sounds
7:27 shop sounds are so soothing
Anyone else find watching metal work on a lathe almost hypnotic…? I love it. 😊

Funny you should use the word hypnotized.....I've been barking at cars all afternoon.
Love the technique employed at 7:23 - very ingenious!
I love these videos. And the dubbed in sound effects made my morning! Thanks Jimmy! Beautiful brass hammers.
The sound effects made me laugh. Great work on the project.
Really really wanted to buy one of these hammers, wife did not approve. As we live in Oz this is one of the few things we can brinf in. Icepicks and giant blades need not apply. Happy to see how they were made, sad i dont own one.
Just gave me a great idea for my surplus brass and bronze. Thank you Jimmy for all your knowledge and inspiration.
Fabulous! I have always thought that brass is the working man’s gold: As pretty & yet practical & affordable. Such a delightful tool to make & have. Thank you for sharing!
Glad I rejoined the Patreon to get the heads up for this, just wish I hadn't spent my last extra $200 on a few Starbucks and fast food runs last week. Okay, that's minor hyperbole, but it's still crazy how that stuff adds up these days. At least I can get the machining zen this morning for free! I'm inspired to get working on my projects (after I finish coffee). Thanks!
My partner and I always make machine noises, when you did it we cried laughing 😂
I agree the milling the eye sounds were a fun treat in this video. Really appreciate your willingness to work with us on this project!
Beautiful craftsmanship. He's having some fun with us around 7:30!
Great project, gorgeous Hammer. Made myself brass hammers a couple of years ago, as you say, indispensable in the 'shop .
Thanks Jimmy, love watching the lathe! ❤
Very nice Jimmy! It's always a treat watching your vids! Cheers!
Always beautiful work! Perfect! I can watch you make things all day! Thanks for sharing your talents with us.
Brilliant. Great uses and beautifully made.
Beautiful work on the brass hammer. Great video.
Beautiful work as always Jimmy
I always get a kick of you turning on the metal lathe like it is a wood lathe. 😀
7:21 bless you for fixing the audio, oh man Heroic editing!
Had to laugh at the dub overs at around 7:23 Thank you, Jimmy!

@@gallowaylights I’m close friends with him like I said it’s mostly for me. I’ve been watching him for 12 years and going back it’s hard to find the old comments at times. This makes it easier for me to remember what I learned from him in that moment that way 12 years from now I can look back and see what I’ve gained from a particular video. it’s nice to capture a moment in words. I wish I did it twelve years ago when i started watching him. He knows why I’m doing it and I guess that’s all that matters.
Such a nice tool. Can't wait for mine to show up!
Like the sound effects of the whole expansion 😂😂😂
Absolutely amazing watching you work Sir always so awesome to see you make the things you make. Thanks for sharing
Absolutely fantastic. Thanks so much for sharing. Take care my friend.
Will be an excellent addition, order placed! great product and content as always Jimmy
The fast motion sound of the mill sounds like a minion😂

Hmmmm A framing hammer
Beautiful !
Hi Jimmy. Nice build for the hammer. It's a beautiful piece. I liked how you carved the ball end. I don't think I've ever seen anyone carve like that on a metal lathe!
Imagine how much work Jimmy could get done if he actually worked that fast in real life! 🤔
Thanks for sharing.
good man Jimmy. Great work as always. Thank you for the video!
Chefs kiss to the sound effects !!!!
I would love to see what a collaboration between Jimmy Diresta and Adam Booth would yield.
Gorgeous, tapping into your vast array of talents I see 😄
my cat started growling when you were milling the handle holes in the hammer heads.
Stunning hammers, Jimmy! Really beautiful work!!! 😃 Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
When I watch people use a lathe I wonder if it’s possible to collect the shavings and melt them back into a usable shape? I’m sure it’s not economical but it would be an interesting experiment in recycling materials. Amazing looking hammer!
Talk about precision work.Wow that is a beautiful hammer.Well done.Btw worth every penny.
👌 awesome work!
Hello Jimmy Diresta beautiful hammer beautifully done good job

Beautiful 🙌 And I love the drilling sounds 😂
Cool video. Awesome hammer. Mahalo for sharing!
Love it, beautiful hammers!
The patina on that brass bar was kinda nice.
Triplet hammers very good work congratulations 😊
Nice work and the snazziest sounding mill in town!
I just found a brass hammer from my grandfathers tools that were in a box at dads. It shined up nice. It has a big nice handle I was able to save. Must be 60 -70 years old dad thinks
I want to see the pile of brass chips under the mill and lathe when he's done with the 200 hammers. Melt them down and make something else!
Beautiful. Love the sound effects. 😂
That was cool. I've never seen wood lathe tools used on a metal lathe.
The drill sound effect had me dying
00:02:44 Wow! You're never going to want to see another brass hammer again!😂 thanks for the sacrifice!
Skew chisel and sound FX bleedin’ marvellous.
Nice idea
LOL! Those are some quality sound effects!
I might need one of those for your bags 🫣😉
And now I finally know what you've been making in there. 😁 Great looking hammer! And sound effects provided by Giaco perhaps? Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful hammer 👍
Is it weird to call a hammer beautiful lol. I have followed your channel for years now and my dad used to do a lot of metal working like that. It’s kind of ironic that you should happen to put this video today because we were just talking last night about the metal work that he and I used to do. He had an old Smithy lathe/end mill that I always enjoyed working on. I do primarily wood working but I wish I had a metal lathe in my shop to as they are so incredibly useful. Great project.
And the best mill noise imitation award goes to........ Jimmy DiResta! 🎉
Espectacular trabajo maestro, uos martillos de ajuste divinos de la muerte, gracias por compartir sus conocimientos y experiencias, un saludo cordial y por supuesto un merecido like desde Narón (Galicia)👍🤓😜
That milling really brought you to the knee 😅
Best of luck selling your hammers! 🔨 I have a nice brass hammer, didn't make it myself and it's likely mass produced, not a limited, premium piece like this of course but has served me well. 👍
Nice Hammer. Any more videos of the house renovation coming?
Beautiful hammer 💪
Id love to see you cast some of these, just to see how it would differ in the clean up process
I died laughing at the machine voice over! More please!
You could make a copper / rawhide hammer, which is used to remove or tighten knock off wheels on classic cars.
I love turning brass
That is the best sounding drill. I could not stop laughing. Thank you.
Very nice hammer 🔨👍💯
So I’m in a Walmart superstore and I’m going through the tool department and I look down and see something that says I MAKE and right then and there I knew where I have seen that. And I says to myself that’s jimmy diresta it has to be an sure enough it is that’s wicked kool that is just one way to get kids or really anyone to try and make something and put something together and then it opens up so many possibilities and just might have an impact on someone’s life
You're amazing. 😎
Jimmy, i use a paint brush to block the spraying chips on brass and cast iron.

7:23 lol xD made my day, thx!
Haters will say you had a sound problem and replaced it with crazy frog style effects, but we, real fans know that's not true
The GOAT know more to be said 😮
I got the paskmakes one very useful
A fine looking hammer.
As much fun as brass is to machine, I really dont miss that fine spray of swarf you get when turning. Especially when going for the high speed shallow finishing passes!
Although it is a very beautiful hammer. at $200 who is going to beat on it. Not in my lifetime, but I do love you Jimmy.
I have a feeling that the dubbed voice was GIACO!
Gotta get the mill z driver key with a cordless. Your arms gotta be on fire after all these.😂❤🔥
Jimmy! Yer hammers appealing and practical, but brass can do a lot of damage. I prefer the softer touch of an aluminum hammer. Keep up the good work!
weird timing, for me to see a diresta video within 16 seconds of publish and be among the first 20 views. do you keep all the brass chips and off cuts now that you can also melt & recast them?
The Art.
@3:13 northcarolina represent!
Tip for turning Brass, Bronze and Zinc. Turn the cuttung tool upside down and run the lathe is reverse. That way chips go ino the chip pan and not all over the shop.
