A trip to the island of Foula

Фильм және анимация

Foula is located in the Shetland archipelago of Scotland and is one of the United Kingdom’s most remote permanently inhabited islands. Owned since the turn of the 20th century by the Holbourn family, the island was the location for the film The Edge of the World and RMS Oceanic was wrecked on the nearby Shaalds of Foula.
Filmed, written and narrated by J.S. Findlay

I visited Foula for a couple of days in 1995. This video brought back happy memories of a dramatic landscape. Thank you.

This is beautiful in every way. I especially loved the slow pace and the way your personality was exhibited by your observations.

when was this film taken please? and does anybody know if the villagers gather the wool from the shetland sheep, sheer it before they malt? or let it fall and then gather?
