I have read and listened to Dr. Heiser for many years and the man will be sorely missed. He has really opened my eyes to how the Bible is to be read in connection to the ancient Jewish worldview. Anyone who has watched this video I hope you will find Dr. Heiser's work and be blessed by it.

All I can think is that somehow, now, Dr. Heiser will have an even broader impact for Christ--in death--else why would God remove from this planet such an incredible source of truth. Thank you for honoring Dr. Heiser’s last wishes in the continued spreading of the truths he so passionately shared.

These led me to read his books, which I found all the more fascinating. I like the way he explains the meanings of words in the context of the time they were written. Thank you for this tribute. 🩵

Only ONE Gospel: The Gospel of Reconciliation. Jesus Christ came into THEIR kingdom to reconcile fallen angels (ELOHIM) unto Himself. We are the fallen angels kept in DNA chains of darkness. If you do not confess being a fallen angel in Lucifer's kingdom, then you are an unbeliever. Unbeliever = those that claim to be made in the image of God.

I agree with almost everything you said. However, if Elohim is a disembodied spirit, then why do you say that resurrected believers will become Elohim? We can be part of God's divine council as resurrected humans, but we become resurrected embodied glorified humans and not disembodied spirits. Life after death, but before resurrection, is a temporary state and resurrected embodied glorified humans in a new heaven and earth reality is our ultimate destiny.

Non-canonical books yes; heresy….? Well Enoch was quoted twice in the New Testament (Jude and Peter quoted word for word from Enoch). Now clearly Enoch has been tampered with so it shouldn’t be used for any type of theology, but it was read by the people of Jesus’ day and the Kumron community of believers too such as John the Baptist most likely. So I applaud your carefulness about the scriptures, but these books are ancient books that are interesting for context and to understand how the ancients thought, which is why Dr Heiser said to read them.

psalm 82: the author calls them "gods" then clarifies by saying they will die like men because they are men. disembodied spirits do not die. heiser never explained that part. why would they die? how would they die? the entire psalm is God's judgment on men who abused their responsibilities. they considered themselves gods, and for this the passage mocks them and pronounces God's judgment (death) on them. you people are confused

While some events in the Bible can be verified, historians do not consider the Bible as a historical reference text. Instead, they look for primary documents and archaeological evidence as better sources of historical events than the Bible. The early stories are held to have a historical basis that was reconstructed centuries later, and the stories possess at most only a few tiny fragments of genuine historical memory, which by their definition are only those points which are supported by archaeological discoveries. It’s very easy to find the roots of Christianity in other religions. For example, both the garden of eden and The flood were taken from Gilgamesh, Moses is taken straight from Sargon of Akkad. Even the story of Jesus is borrowed from multiple other gods/religions. These were all before the bible was compiled. No question that the Bible has been altered and edited over the centuries. We don’t have the original manuscripts. What we have are copies of copies of copies of … you get the idea. In many cases the copyists didn’t even speak the language they were copying. And don’t forget the little matter of translations of translations of copies of translations …. Fact is, there is something like 400,000 versions of the bible in existence today (that’s versions, not translations). The major religions can’t even agree on how many books there are in the bible so how can anyone possibly know that their bible is “the real deal”? “The scholar John Mill, no apparent relation of the philosopher John Stuart Mill, published a Greek New Testament in 1707 that showed 30,000 different available readings from only 100 manuscripts at his disposal. He was accused of trying to destroy Christianity by pointing out the truth. … We now have over 57,000 different manuscripts available and contemporary scholars believe there are between 300,000 and 400,000 different versions of the New Testament. That is more different versions of the New Testament than there are words in it. Since we don’t have any original documents, or copies, or copies of the copies, etc., we have no idea which of these 400,000 variations is the perfect one. Frankly, it boggles the mind that someone could imagine that if 400,000 different versions have come down to us that there could be one ‘perfect’ version.” We know that at various times the church decided which books belonged in the bible so you’re depending on the “wisdom” of the men who made those decisions - and it’s safe to say that those decisions would be driven by a desire to see that the final product conformed to their personal orthodoxy. For that matter, individual copyists have made changes to the text in order that their copy agreed with their individual orthodoxy. It’s easy to point out some of those changes - everyone is familiar with the story of Jesus and the adulteress (“let he who is without sin …”). While it’s a great story with a worthwhile moral it doesn’t appear in any version of the bible before the 12th century. By the same token - in the oldest bibles in our possession, the Gospel according to Mark ended with Mark 16:8. Everything after that (9-20) was added at a later date, probably so that it would agree with Matthew (which was apparently copied, in large part, from Mark).

Since Heiser mislead so many on Psalm 82 and his false divine council, here is a better explanation with Jesus in mind, more of a "Christ Minded" thought of Psalm 82, depends if you believe in the Trinity or not. The Trinity is One God as 3 persons Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This reponse is directed towards Heiser's teaching of Psalm 82. By the way Asaph the prophet wrote Psalm 82. Jesus holds the answer of the "gods" of Psalm 82 in John 10. It is not the Hebrew that counts, Jesus is the one who COUNTS, Reason why Jesus fulfills the words of the prophets in the OT in the NT. Jesus fullfills the words of the OT in the NT. Israel is the "gods" in Psalm 82, the "gods" are human NOT nonhuman like this Heiser guy promoted. Israel was unique from the pagan nations that surrounded them, Israel had the law of God, 10 commandment, prophets and a Levitical priesthood. Since Israel had the law of God, it put Israel in the position of being "gods," becuase God chose them, Israel was God's chosen people. Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; John 10: 34-35 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken)," 1. >>>>"I said, “You are gods” >>>>>ONCE by the God (Father) in Psalm 82. Aspaph is the Author and Psalmist of Psalm 82. Prophets of the Old Testament like Asaph the "word of the Lord" would come to Prophets like Asaph. Prophets were the "Voice" of God. God (Father) would communicate His words through the prophets, God does that here in Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;">>>>>>>>Israel, Psalm 82 uses the word "all". This clearly is not about a bunch of watchers/super angels of a divine council. The Psalms were written to and for Israel. 2. SECOND time Jesus in John 10: 34 Repeats >>>> ‘I said, “You are gods”

We now know that the universe is incredibly large, unimaginably old and that the earth is a planet hurling around the sun and the sun is one of the billions of suns in our galaxy. Our Galaxy is just one of billions of galaxies all moving away from each other at incredible speeds. The bible reader would have no idea of any of this . This makes it much more likely that the bible is a work of fiction written by a group of mostly unknown authors with an iron age understanding of the world. Just my opinion.

dear lady please reconsider your position on samuel being, now, a 'god'...the notion that GOD via samuel participated in the sorcery of the witch of endor also needs to be re-thought...GOD would have been sanctioning a most evil/deceptive practice. further, samuel said to the witch "why have you brought me up?...up from where?...heaven?...hardly...UP FROM HELL, the dominion of evil...samuel,as all those who have died, is in the grave just as david is in the grave as stated by JESUS there are further implications to this false notion...consider the first lie told to eve in the garden '...ye shall not die you will become as gods'...if heiser did not address these points he missed some serious considerations in his discussions/publications on the topic prove me wrong
