A Tribute To Larry Grayson

Комедия

It's impossible to do justice to Larry in a 10 minute video, but this is still an interesting summary of his life & career. It has been taken from a television programme on the emergence of gay performers on TV through the years.

A lovely, sincere man who was grateful for the breaks he got in his life. I miss his humor and thank you so much for the upload.

I grew up a couple of streets away from where Larry lived, he was always out walking his poodle, and had a kind word for everybody. He used to have everybody in the doctor's surgery in absolute pieces, it was quite surreal! A very sorely missed member of the Nuneaton community, and of the nation at large. Our local council need to be asked; why they wouldn't allow a statue commemorating him to be erected, and why they continually down-play his connections to the town. We are proud of our Larry. The reasons rumoured demonstrate small minded attitudes of councilors towards his overt homosexuality. If you're a fan of Larry Grayson, get on to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough council, and give them some crap!! LARRY GRAYSON DESERVES TO BE IMMORTALIZED IN HIS HOMETOWN!!!

Have they got rid of Dennis Harvey yet? A man who was so bad at being a supply teacher they made him a lollipop lady - then he was so bad at being the lollipop lady they made him leader of Nuneaton & Beduff Council for 30 years. Be an absolute fuck-up at life but join the Labour Party and you too can be King of Nuneaton & Beduff, but actually have success in the real world like our Lal and they're ashamed of you.

Thanks for posting clip, I thought Larry was the funniest comedian of his time I still watch the Royal Variety Performance from 1994 just before Larry sadly passed away. I also saw him in Brighton many many years ago when he played the ringmaster with Doria Bryan, he was just fantastic. Does anyone know is there are DVD's of a compilation of all his work I would like to know. Bless you Larry for giving us those good laughter times.

Does anyone remember a cult comic in the UK filled with characters like Buster Gonad, Fat Slags, Terry F*ckwit etc It was called Viz? If you look at Grayson's cast of bawdy characters as he wrote them, slack Alice, pop-it-in-Pete,self-raising Fred, it's not hard (Ooo!) to see a correlation...especially the character "Ever-ard Farq-uh-arson" I'm amazed he could pass it (Ooo!) on prime-time Auntie BeeB and her anal (Oooo!) censoring and be beloved by so many Victorian grannies. He actually played a pretty funny practical joke at the establishment's expense. Kudos!
