There are some comments claiming that Melbourne is larger. Sydney and Melbourne are pretty close in size, but Sydney squeaks out the win: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_in_Australia_by_population

I love that you actually take an interest in history, landmarks, nature, and you read everything on the plaques. A lot of people just look at the sights, and walk straight past information. Thankyou 😊

*I find your daily videos exciting. What's Gabe up to next? It's like going on vacation with a friend and saying, "Let's see where the road takes Us." 😃🥰*
I live in Sydney, what you said about LA not being taken care of, I find the same about San Francisco which I've traveled to for work. Australian cities have "council rates" which is a local tax (per suburb) part of which is used to maintain parks and reserves. As a sailing channel put it Australian cities have beautifully manicured parks and you will find that pretty much every Australian city you travel to.
Nobody shows you the world 🌎 in a better way than Gabriel!
Hi Gabriel, that bird in the street you saw was a Brush Turkey, because they make big nest mounds from raking all the twigs and brush around, leaving bare earth btw. Most people call them Bush Turkeys. Lots of them around the Northern Rivers Byron Bay area, maybe your next destination, you can fly into Gold Coast airport, and go from there. recommend it, having lived there for 10 years.
A nipper in Oz is usually referring to A small child. So in regards to the beach, nippers are small children usually learning to swim in a group setting. The surf life saving clubs usually have nipper classes happening ❤

My wife and I love Sydney. It is so beautiful and the Aussies are so nice. It is worth the almost 15-hour flight from Los Angeles.
Australia, my favorite country for travelling! Thank you Gabriel !
You document places so well, so insightful and offer a great perspective! Keep it up Gabriel.
I love this city! I hate long flights but I have to figure it out and see it! Thank you, Gabriel, as always for your amazing videos!
sydney is an incredible place to explore, i lived there for 10 years and nearly every weekend we would go somewhere new and have an amazing time with a mix of city life and nature...
It's so cool having Gabriel in Australia
Hey Gabriel ! Nippers is actually an Australian institution . its where us often unwilling parents have to take our kids to the beach on a Sunday morning so they can do water based activities , like swim training , races on the sand and other competitive games. This activity is always followed by a 'sausage sizzle' ( you can buy a cheap hotdog or bacon sandwitch. ) Enjoy Australia !!!!! Hot tip for you , head south on the train towards wollongong (only 1 hour). hop of at austinmer / thirroul . fantastic beaches , great places to eat . its a lovely quiet area with stunning walks in the escarpment , secret bush waterfalls with swimming holes ect ... go explore . i lived there for 8 years , youll love it .
Love your videos. I just got back from 3 weeks in Australia. Did a lot Sydney, Brisbane, Cairns. All really nice places. But by far the best bit of my trip was NT. Uluru, Darwin Kakadu. The top end of Australia has a very different feel it. I highly recommend it. If you get the chance visit the top end. Oh and Sri Lanka is amazing I was there last year at the worst time protest on the streets! But still I had the most amazing time! Sri Lanka’s are so welcoming and friendly even when there country is in a bad way! Go to Sri Lanka you will love it. Keep the videos coming. Thank
Gabriel: Tip for you. The great barrier reef is the worlds largest 'Offshore reef' but the worlds largest 'Onshore reef' lies in Australia also and not many people know about it. Its called the Ningaloo reef in Western Australia. Totally unique and not flooded with tourists and plenty of other things to see and do. 😉

It does seem to be clean, have a nice urban scape and lots of outdoor activities. I've never been to Australia but maybe some day. I've heard lots of great things about Melbourne too.
Most of the main cities and towns are along the coast of Australia so you will never be to far from amazing beaches. Don't forget to check out the Blue Mountains.
G'day Gabe, great footage, so glad your enjoying Australia. We are a chilled relaxed nation, you have picked up on those vibes. Looking forward to your next clip and where your are heading. On ya mate.
I loved that guy’s rendering of Ring of Fire. So cute how he grinned at you. Some deep associations with Johnny Cash - my mother died listening to his music. Very touching to hear it. I honestly didn’t find those prices crazy high for a metropolitan area. Even around Detroit a lot of places charge similar prices. Thanks for another wonderful video!
Way to go Gabe ! Loving Australia 🫶🏻
It's great seeing you happy with being there in Sydney. I've also heard New Zealand is a very expansive and beautiful place over all

Awwwe Sydney is the most stunning city I’ve ever been to. I stayed in the Rocks area. Beautiful to stroll around during the day too
Hi Gabe, if you are obsessed with Asian food , catch a train to Burwood, only 10 mins train ride from Central Station. Burwood is an Asian food hub in Sydney too many choices, go there at night, so vibrant and busy, it seems like you are in Asia. Or you can go to night food market every Friday night in Chinatown in downtown, you can have many varieties of authentic Asian street food.
Hi Gabriel, I really enjoy watching your videos. Because they are almost daily, I feel like I am traveling with you. Thanks for traveling and making these videos.
Hi Gabriel, that was quite a day now you're going around the town finding what to explore. What I find out about Australia is it has an Island feel but its land mass makes a continent Sydney has a California feel to it very wealthy in certain areas like Manhattan Beach or Palos Verdes Peninsula regularly active people do outdoor activities everything you would see in California. The country's landscape is incredibly unique outback I don't even think there are many places in the world that can compare. You're giving us a unique perspective on what's it like being there in person.
So glad you feel this way about our Sydney, Gabe. We have travelled to many city’s in the world but we would only ever live in Sydney. We live in the Sutherland Shire which is the southern most reach of the Sydney metropolitan region with the Cronulla beaches, the Royal National Park (the second oldest National Park in the world after Yellowstone) and many beautiful waterways. It’s a 30-40min train ride and depending on traffic, a 40min-1hr drive to the city. Worth a visit if you have the time.
I made many trips to Manly when I was living in Sydney in the 1980's. Back then they had large wooden ferries for this trip. They used these larger ferries to negotiate the swells that came in between the Heads where the harbour meets the ocean. Manly was a great place to visit as it had numerous pubs and plenty of food options. The ferry terminal at Manly boasted posters stating "Seven miles from Sydney and a thousand miles from care". Cheers.
This was such an enjoyable video I remember some of the places when I was visiting Sydney
From Goa to Hampi to Bangalore to bangkok to Sydney....what a difference in everything....thank you for taking us along 🙏👍
Hey Gabriel, I went to the Johnny Cash Museum in Nashville in December, and that pub scene brought back good memories. Safe travels. 🇦🇺
Sydney is breathtaking with a variety of wildlife throughout the city, if I were a rich man this city would definitely be my first choice. The Sydney Harbor Bridge is absolutely gorgeous.
Have you heard of the Blue Mountains and the Three Sisters yet? 2 hours right from downtown Sydney and it's a popular attraction where it's like a canyon and you have cable cars, incline railways, and hiking tracks all around with waterfalls and all sorts of scenery. A lot of nature not just within the city but right outside on the periphery all around.

Awesome vid. Been to manly many times and didn't even know about the wormhole, learn something new every day
Love the series. We spent 2 weeks in Australia 1981 and stayed with a friend Charlie.
Gabbriel, thank you for shearing interesting video, enjoy your trip. Chaos
🎉 Australia! The wildlife is going to be crazy! Loving this world tour, you're on....stay healthy and safe!
Wow, surprise after surprise in a good way. This scene with college and church (with roads nearby) really reminded me on Oxford, England and its architecture which I love very much as an European (it was my favourite stop there when I travelled to 7 English towns/cities) and a Harry Potter fan. After that, dining in the evening downtown really reminds on North America (maybe Vancouver as someone here suggested, as a vibe not as scenery). Beaches could as well be somewhere in Portugal. So, this mix England+Canada+Portugal really seems amazing for me, with all the cleanliness of Switzerland. I am looking forward to see your next videos.
Great tour. I love checking out the old churches and exploring neighborhoods. I'd love to live down there for a few years and have December be my summer for a change
Agree. Best city I have been to so far.
Thank you Gabe😊
man all the exotic animals in the streets of Sydney 🤯 Australia is really something else
Woohoo! Loved the ferry ride to manley :D great ice cream over there.
The Harbour Bridge looks so more impressive in person and great views from walking across it.
Love your work! I hope you enjoy your stay. Sorry for the highish prices.
Head over to Newtown. Lots of restuarants and pubs. Good vibe. Day trips to the Blue mountains & South coast are also good.
I have been there too. Took the same ferry, what a great thing to seer it again and relive my time there.
Welcome Gabriel 🍻 hope your enjoying Sydney.
Thank you for positive vibes about Manly. I was lucky enough to grow up there, living just one block from the beach, thanks to my hard-working parents.
Brilliant. Thanks Gabriel.👍😊🇮🇪🇦🇺🦘🐨
Do yourself a favour go to the Blue Mountains you will love it you can get a train from Central Station it takes about one and a half hours , there is a hostel there , im enjoying your travels ,
Thanks for the ride Gabe Enjoying the music Live and Canned
wow its sooo clean like Switzerland there
I recommend Darling harbour and Barangaroo for eatery and entertainment also. Sydney is spread out; would suggest you visit suburbs (cities of their own): Chatswood, take a ferry to Parramatta, rent a hike and bike around Sydney Olympic park(or can be walked but it may take you a while), visit the Windsor markers, etc…
Sydney is a beautiful, clean and green city! Not cheap though..
I'd love to show you some more of the interior next visit if you get time! Stargazing, beaches all to yourself, food that costs less than $15... Good times 👍
I actually love Sydney on rainy days. Feeling and smell is really nice. Yeahhh Sydneyyy
Unfortunately the weather was overcast this week in Sydney. But that’s the thing about weather, it’s unpredictable 😂 Sydney looks ten times more amazing with its usual blue sky and sunny day, but well at least it is cooling.

Where are the parks, wildlife, wineyards in sydney?
@k.vn.k
Жыл бұрын
@@Gerald-iz7mv You can find most wildlife in parks, and there are 400 city parks in Sydney alone. My favourite is Bicentennial, Centennial and Sydney Park. But the best places to enjoy wildlife is in national parks surrounding the city, these are huge wild nature reserve, easy access by public transport like train. My favourite is Blue Mountain, Royal National Park, Ku-ring-gai and Bouddi. There are 200 registered national parks in Sydney alone. As for wineries, the famous one is Hunter Valley but then there are so many of them too around Mudgee, Orange, and the Southern Highlands.

Another suggestion is a train front Central to Katoomba and checkout the blue mountains. Its approximately a 2 hour trip and it will give you a taste of the Australian bush.
Glad you're enjoying Sydney!
Amazing this beach looked so familiar I stayed at Novotel Sydney Manly Pacific hotel on this beach! It was stunning! Thanks for taking us through Sydney! ~Cara 😊
If you are here for a little while, it's probably worth getting an Opal card- just top it up with funds as you go. Then you can use the trains, busses, feries and trams. Also, you missed the weather. This past weekend was so sunny and warm. It's been pretty overcast and cooler this week.
Sydney looks chill... Much like Vancouver... Cool video man...Thanks for the info!
yes us Australians LOVE the outdoors!
Wish I could have met you man. I've been for a few days myself. Would have been dope. Glad you're enjoying your time
What a lovley bar...Absolutely charming❤
Good video. I was there for 3 days recently. I flew in the evening before you did and boy did you arrive at the right time. It was one evening, but it was extremely uncomfortable, around 25C and 96% humidity at 9pm. I walked from the airport to a hotel about 25mins away and never sweated so much in my life, hah. Great to see your take on the city, I agree it's a pretty decent place. Also it was really nice to see The Rocks at night in your video. I'd been there during the day on my first day, and on my last day I'd aimed to go back at night to see the historic area again, but I didn't make it I was too worn out.
That nightlife area towards the end of the video looks more familiar like your European nightlife adventures…great live music WOW ❤
Hi Gabriel, a nipper is a child that is learning to become a lifesaver. They learn swimming, surfing, and beach safety. It's a lot of fun for kids to be nippers during weekends.
wait till you see the Blue Mountains, Grand Canyon, and if you have time Jenolan Caves. You'll love the little villages in the Blue Mountains.
Wayyy cool!!! that intro is the JAM **Yeaaa BUDDY**
Nippers is a junior surf life saving development program for 5-14 year olds. My great Aunty was a nun in the adjoining convent at St Patrick’s seminary. Great views and beautiful building and grounds.
Thanks for mentioning laundry. I’m searching for hotels in Japan right now and I’m looking for ones that have diy laundry machines. Overlooked item people forget about. Ironically cheaper hotels tend to have them more often. Especially helpful if you are out sweating all day and are traveling light. Just reviewed all of your Japan videos. Thanks for your content!!
Sydney is amazing 👏 😍 💖
I was lucky to grow up in Manly. Sydney is beautiful. Melbourne is also a great city. Have a great trip and enjoy.
Hey Gabriel, so happy your visiting Australia! I live in Brisbane. I recently did a road trip down to Sydney and up to North Queensland. If you dont have a car and limmited time i would reccomend taking a flight to the Gold Coast. Visit Byron Bay and the Sunshine Coast beautiful rainforests, beaches nature and friendly culture. I reccomend seeing the Great Barrier Reef in winter (june july) less dangerous jelly fish and better weather. Its raining nonstop their at the moment. 🙂
the black bird is called a bush turkey very common around neighbourhoods and bushy areas!

I was there 40 years ago. Loved it. It is still beautiful but wow! expensive.
Awesome Music!!!
Video very timely for me. I leave in few days to travel to Australia from Bangkok. One week in Melbourne, then Sydney for 10-night cruise to New Zealand. Cruise now has studio cabins, much cheaper then booking air, hotel, food etc if I did my own thing. I’m not into big cruise ships, but this makes sense. Then back to Sydney for one week. On your country count, how would you count St Martin, which is half Dutch and half French. 1 country or 2? What about Martinique and Guadalupe? Both same country, but two different islands? Need to see how I match up with your count.
Sydney and Los Angeles are almost at the exact same latitude ie 34 degrees from the equator. Probably similar temperatures due to this. Also same length of days around the year just flipped around.
I lived in the LA area for around 5 years. Now I am about 2 hours out of Sydney and I love popping down on the train and being a Sydney tourist. It is so much nicer than LA!
