I remember when Taryn was making that work and it blew me away. Went to a talk she did at the time and I so regret not getting the book when it was first released.
Honored to be on your shelf!
3 very essentials books that I have read several times are by Ansel Adams, The Camera, The Negative, The Print, these I can highly recommend, also The Art of Colour Photography by John Hedgecoe can be recommend.
loving these videos in your studio dude
You've always been an inspiration, Willem. While I've somehow managed to avoid purchasing RZ67's, Volvos, or Porsches, I can never get through your photobook videos without a new dent in my wallet. It turns out the very first book that you highlight here is available in a brand new second edition print edition right now for $94 plus $19 shipping from Europe. It's already on the way to me. Anyway, I love that you're still producing new KZread content of such variety. Cheers!
Between the Dog and the Wolf had a second edition in 2019 by Super Labo. It's currently still available in a few places.
love it. gonna purchase a bunch of these. i only have 5 or 6 photobooks so i definitely need to reup. these are good reca
What a terrific video. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm for photography and photos.
Going to have to pick up Lars Tunbjörk - retrospective! Thanks for sharing.
North Shore was a great mention, really inspiring work!
Thank you for sharing some of the collection.
What a great tour! Wow, I am stoked by VAVA RIBEIRO. Just found a copy and ordered it right away. Thanks, big time.
I don't know what's more addicting... old cameras or photography books. 💸
Perfect timing on this video 🙌
Roll from Theo Gosselin is by far my favourite photography book.
Would you ever reprint On the Sunny Side of the Street? Always wanted a copy but missed out!
This was both entertaining and informative. Thank you so much for sharing!

Lowkey kinda disappointed you don’t own “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” photobook.
Thanks for sharing. One question though, why do you have a Volvo in a frame?

I've been wanting to get my hands on Taryn Simon's book for so long - so so interesting!
Thank you.

Please do not do a video on the Olympus pen F. Ive been wanting to buy one for a while but im poor and i dont want the prices to go up. Lmao Fr tho, beautiful collection of photo books. You are an inspiration to me, so seeing your inspiration is fascinating. (Excuse the parasocialness of this comment lol)
11:35 - Interestingly that book is essentially a physical representation of how most people consume photography these days. Think about it. Those photos are about the size of phone screens. That's the sad truth
Wow! really like your videos but pls clean your macbook screen 😵😃
