I laughed so much at the part where Felix recorded Laura going back and forth to the shop to get the proper piece/tool she needed to hang the tool box. 😂😂. But more than that I LOVE that it LOOKS like a piece of furniture. BEAUTIFUL!!!

the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. kzread.infoUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.

I'm 68 years old and most of my stuff is in the basement of the house. My knees aren't the best and this is inspiring me to make a "mini' toolbox for the main floor of the house so I don't have to go up and down the stairs. Thank you!

Next comes a little platform lift so you can bring tools up from the basement without having to carry them up the stairs. Before you know it you will make a robot to load the tools onto the lift for you so you'll never have to go downstairs again! 🙂

@@cggnow That sounds like a wonderful idea but I think it would take me quite a long time to scrounge parts. I’ll file that idea away, though, because the lift makes a lot of sense. And once an idea comes to fruition, it sparks so many more.

You just put down the “Let Glue Dry” sign. I’ve been working on a few small projects recently, and the words “Let Glue Dry” keep running through my head on a loop. Interestingly, thinking/saying those words reduce the anxiousness I get in wanting to finish the project. It’s a very soothing mantra to mindfully focus on. Thank you, Laura. Something very important I learned from you!😊

The Tiny Tool Cabinet is a very satisfying object to look at. While closed it's so clean and minimal - it could be anything! - and opened up it's a perfect tiny portal to the Kampf workshop, complete with weird, wonderful lighting. I love it! I know every time you walk by it you're going to open it up and just stare at it smiling for a few minutes even when you don't need anything :-)

Such a cool project. I especially vibe with the conclusion. "No one would want this, but I want it, so I build it." So true. I identify so much with that small moment when you are fixing the bottom part of the door that came loose. That split second before shooting the nail in of "maybe I should scoot my hand back a little". It's something that resonates with every maker who's ever had a nail make a right turn inside a piece or wood and come out inside their finger.

Hi. 2 things I've learnt over the years while putting shelves and cupboards on walls. First, hang them with nothing in or on them, which makes it so much lighter. Second, put the left hand screw in to take the weight of the unit. With your left hand, raise the unit until it is level (carefully not to scratch wall). Put in right-hand screw. Tighten. Anyway, that's how I do it.😊
