That's absolutely key. Shania made this video as a direct response to Robert Palmers iconic video 'Addicted To Love' and by so doing, pays her own special tribute to the late great man. Shame all this seems to have been lost on almost everyone.

Yeah I can listen to her anytime and I usually listen to rock and hip hop mostly. She's one of the country artists I listen to that transcend her genre

This video actually was a response to Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love". She literally just reversed the gender roles. In his video, he performed in front of a bunch of female models "playing" the instruments with the exact same facial expressions as the male models here.

Her ex husband was her cowriter and producer for 15 years and he's a famous famous rock producer so they had the mix of her country influence and his rock influence which was what made her such a crossover artist.

Not an expert but she was big on both pop and country so a crossover. Watch her in another big hit "That Don't Impress Me Much". You'll enjoy it.

The first Shania Twain song I ever heard was "The Woman In Me" and it is still my favorite song from her! I think you would both enjoy it!

Another amazing Canadian female artist is Alanis Morissette. Check out 'You Oughta Know'. It's written about her relationship with Uncle Joey from Full House. I think you'll enjoy it.

Divorced for good reasons. Lowest of low..but agree on his positive affect on her career.. but sad she loved him and he betrayed her. Later I heard she remarried.. hope she's happy.. such a tough early life having to raise her siblings after parents died when she was still so young.

It’s a fine contribution. It’s good. But it’s pop. It’s not country. Most modern “country” is pop music with a fiddle thrown in.
