Oiler fans, you should be proud of your team! All season long, they faced adversity and overcame them. They faced uncertainty with Skinner and Nurse and Ceci and figured it out. Injuries have caught up to them, and McDavid just ran out of gas! Your team will win the Cup very soon! This is coming from a Kings fan, who is very familiar with the Oilers as I have told my Kings fan buddies that we don't have a chance against the Oilers who have the greatest player in McDavid and a close one in Draisaitl!

Thank you for that impromptu therapy session, really needed that today! Its especially hard waking up in a non hockey city where ppl dont understand the gravity of what happened to us last night (so many ppl tried to joke about it to lighten my mood not realizing how much it hurts) Im so so proud of the the oilers and the memories created for all us fans but having to defend what theyve accomplished to trolls and uneducated casuals is worse than the loss itself...anyways THANK YOU OILERSNATION FOR EVERYTHING YOU ALL DO its been an incredible ride and truly wouldn't be the same without yall and nation citizens 💙🧡💙🧡

It hurts and I’ll get over it but every Oilers fan should be proud. Next season Broberg and Holloway will be on the team full time. This experience will help Skinner be better possibly Brown , Henrique and Janmark come back. A full season of Knobs and possibly Coffee. If the Oilers can bag the division and get home ice that’ll help them in the later rounds. Lots to be positive about I know it sucks because they fought so hard had to dig themselves out of a hole then battle in the final to tie the series and it’s like they did all this work and came up short again. I literally waited 18 years to see the exact same result and it hurts but I’m confident like the panthers the oilers will be back again and win it this time. Let’s go Oilers.

Hold your head high Oil Country. You battled hard and you will be back there soon. This is the price that must be paid to win. GG’s from your southern Flames rival. Just to clear up the Tkachuk thing, we like him because he was honest and let us trade him instead of pretending he wanted to resign like Gaudreau did. There’s nothing wrong with an American wanting to play in America. He was honest and honourable about it.

It’s hard already to maintain the ice in Florida but in June when it’s hot in Florida come on NHL what is this scheduling so close to the draft and free agency and your still playing playoff hockey.

@@ryans413 I would put McDavid in a different category than Ovi. It's not hate, it's simply crazy to have both those guys for a decade and not win a cup. Shows league parody, how hard it is to win a cup and that even with possibly the best player to ever play, you still need to have a very savvy front office.

But I am truly happy for Paul Maurice, Sasha Barkov, Sam Reinhart (whom I've always liked), and yes, even Matt Tkachuk, who has finally got a very storied hockey family (grandpa Walt, who was a Canadian, papa Keith, and brother Brady) the family name on the Stanley Cup.

Wasn't Skinner...it was a total lackluster performance on the Oilers in general. Very flat...no fire, no extra stride or undying effort to get to the puck. If players are hurt they should NOT be playing!!! I don't care who they are, that's just plain stupid. The other thing is how can the whole team deflate at the same time? I don't get it... it wasn't just Skinner letting in weak goals...he actually kept them to 2 points...which is very reasonable ... it was lack of offense. The Oilers played all out hockey for 3 games and in the SCF of Finals they barely skate to the puck...literally backing up as a play develops and they just escort them into the front of the net. It almost seems rigged. If I didn't know any better that would be a fair conclusion. The Oilers do have the laying an egg syndrome from time to time...just I thought they had more will and presence of mind than that. Very disappointed. Hope it was worth it so they get their turn to win? All the Parasite "industries" like banks and betting Houses fund the NHL... parasites always destroy the host.

To lose 10 in a row during the regular season is not how to show team character...and then lose three in a row in the finals ....that ain't character it is just pure desperation ....Cats will always toy with their prey and let them think it will be ok before the final kill ...the best team won.....these Grease Stain 's will never win a cup with the two biggest two prima donna's in the league on the team .....please sign Dr. Dry ....you really need another Nurse contract Reply

You’re delusional if you think Florida just let it get close. You guys got outplayed for 3 straight games give the Oilers some credit they won those games by playing fantastic defence on the PK. They almost beat got guys. Panthers played a great game 7 and I tip my hat to that but don’t sit here and say they let the Oilers win to mess with them that’s ridiculous.
