Jack Gill, a student at Paul Laurence Dunbar in Lexington, Kentucky, recently competed in the National History Day® National Contest, held in College Park, Maryland, from June 9 to 13. He was awarded first place in the Senior Individual Documentary Category for "A Theory, a Paper, a Turning Point: Claude Shannon's 1948 Mathematical Theory of Communication."
