A Teenage Girl Explains Different Forms of Government
The Teenage Girl attempts to explain different forms of government world wide. Through animation and klezmer music, everything from democracy to theocracy to totalitarian governments will be clarified. Well, mostly.

You are awesome!! Go girl!
Hi I am a teacher in China and would love to use your video with our fifth grade students. Being in China, KZread is not easy to access here. Do I have your permission to download your video from YT and host it on our own local media server? It is really good by the way!

+Phillip Cowell Absolutely -- thank you so much! Also, we are putting together some new videos in the next few months. If you -- or anyone, for that matter -- have any ideas for topics, please let us know!

+A Teenage Girl Explains Cool, thanks so much! Will let you know if we have any ideas. How did you do the animations? We are thinking about getting our students to choose one of the types of government and do a video in the same style to explain it. Maybe you could be the judge on who does the best job:)

+Phillip Cowell Actually I am a professional film maker and my daughter is the teenage girl, so I have some pretty high powered software. I use Adobe After Effects, Photoshop and Premiere. But for your kids, they could really use any drawing program for the stick figures and edit it together with i-Movie or any other video editing program. They don't need anything fancy. My daughter said she would LOVE to be the judge -- bring 'em on! ;-)

How did you do the drawing thing?
You got that anarchy part sort of wrong. It simply means that there is a lack of a ruler (someone who initiates force to keep policies enforced. So there are still organizations that provides services such as fire protection, criminal justice, and etc., it's just that it's voluntary. You aren't kidnapped for smoking a leaf and you're not running around like murderers or burning down buildings.
great job!
Hello I'm a fifth grade student I love ur vid
Keep it up, I like the concept of ur video, and you talking really fast is great... I’m not wasting time and this is great :)
Awesome job.........loved it! I plan on using this next year for my 6th grade Social Studies class!!! I would also really like to know what software you used for the animated stick figures? I would really like to incorporate those in my classes....please explain!!!

Thanks! I used Adobe Photoshop to draw it and Adobe After Effects to animate. We're thinking of doing a couple more in the next month and are trying to come up with potential topics... any requests?
I was educated in other things I was not educated about how governments work. all I ever wanted to do was run a business rais a family and have tons of sporting activity as well as entertainment and travel. I'm a 37-year-old woman who does have some learning disabilities and have really just had a ruff time. and I was thinking one day how can I better my family's life health and peace and prosperity. I was not happy about living in poverty. I would love to do so many things and I figured if I'm going to try to raise us out of poverty I better get educated on how the world works. I really hate being physically and mentally challenged bc I have to work really hard to understand what a teacher is trying to teach. I have a very crazy imagination and I like the way you teach. just slow down a little when u speak so ur students can actually understand and absorb the info.
Anarchy isn’t a form of government
In a government that uses Absolute Monarchy, is there usually a "Vice President" or someone helping he monarch? Or is it only the Monarch doing things?
@nuggo2381

there are no major absolute monarchys i know of (there probably are i just dont know them) but in most contrys with a monachy the monarch has no power and a parlement or president do everything and the monarch is just a symbolic thing

A Republic?
the background music is not good at all.................
Republic ?
@owlblocksdavid4955

Like most of these, it fits in with the others. A republic is, by definition, any government that is seen as "the public's affair" (res publica). Here in the states, when people say republic, they usually mean it as a compact way of saying "constitutional, federal, representative democracy" (aka what the US is).
Cool I understand
You give me anxiety
it's good but i think you should talk a little bit slower.
This is such a great video I have a test on Tuesday and I am sooooo worried
Nice but speed slower
i not entender very mucho
hihihihihihihihiihihhihihiihhihihihihiihhihihiihihiihihihihi *ice cream is yum!*
Okay
Is there a single video that features a girl in the last year or 5 that doesnt complain about men in a single way?
cool

how how this is completely wrong commiunisum and socialisum are economic systems did kindergarteners make this?
so much easier! thank you
Great video! Mr. Davison's class 1st period.
I mean she wwas right but she was explaining what communism usually turns out as when applied on a nationwide scale really it's the you basically share everything but unlike anarchy it is regulated by the government, and everyone and everything is subject to sustaining the place basicially
Thank you for teaching me
for everyone demanding her to talk slower; do yall know you can play yt videos in slow motion? Also please refrain from asking people to change as her being super hyper and excited is sorta her thing (which i love) Anyways you're doin great hon!
I don't get her explanation of socialism.

Dodec84 Me too. She meant to say socialist gov instead of communist gov(which doesn't exist), for there is gov in Socialism, but in Communism it is more of a community. That's what she should have said.
She left out main ideas, such as in communism, the main point is that everyone is equal and gets equal pay. Also, that all land is shared equally, not only that it is government owned.

I hate Oligarchy
Very entertaining :) This kid knows what most adults don't!
Whats her instagram name?
An oligarchy is when a political party is ruling over a government, not just any group of people.
That music tho...
yet ty this helped me get an 100%
1:16 "Communist Government" *falls off chair laughing* There is no such thing as communist gov for in communism there is no state! In socialism there is a state.
bye
what about fascistism
I love this haha
I hate how you tried to throw sexism in there. Also socialism is not light communism. Communism is heavy socialism. Also wheres republic

You got socialism and communism the wrong way round. Communism is focused on the community and it is stateless, while socialism is where the government controls everything.

You got Anarchy all wrong. Anarky isn't just "do whatever you want." You're confusing Anarchy with the purge. Anarky is yes, when there is no government. However, Anarky isn't just people run around the streets naked and hope they aren't arrested, no. In an Anarky society there is a thing called volunteerism and the goal of Anarky is to govern only ones self as stated in the first amendment in the constitution by John Locke. I'm not an Anarchist I'm actually a crony capitalist, however I'm only thirteen and plan to study political science. I can tell you this: Most of your information is incorrect.
