Public water lakes such as this one are accessible to a wide range of people, from swimmers to dogs, which may increase the likelihood of disturbances that can spook carp.
This deep and vast alpine lake is full of snags and natural barriers, which, again, all add to the challenge.
When asked why he chose this lake, Dave answered ‘There are several venues in that area but I felt this offered the best chance of some action, and a big Alps carp. It’s very trial and error when fishing public lakes.’
