A Tale of Beauty and Dread in Norway 🇳🇴
Join me today as the Norwegian road trip continues.
Along the way we visit a church made of the most passionate Death metal fan's dreams,
we hike the Trolls tongue and the famous pulpit rock of Preikestolen.
We stumble upon an apparently quite accurate representation of a Viking village and we cruise along the gorgeous Lysefjord.
Finally we end up at Utøya island where we pay our respects to the victims of a deranged mind.
Enjoy!

Thank you Spear!
Houses in Norway that fall into disrepair in this way are often listed buildings that stand in the way of the owners' ambitions with the property. No one can be forced to maintain private property, so when they don't get permission to demolish the building, they let it fall into disrepair. Within a few decades, there is nothing left to protect, and demolition is ordered because the house is a dangerous place to stay. Fortunately, there are many others who have an interest in preserving listed buildings. I live in a 224-year-old log house. When we sawed out a wall that had to be removed, the timber still smelled of resin.
