The signs were there all along.

I 100% the game on my first playthrough prior to getting ending E. I watched as 1 by 1 each "100%" was erased. I at least got to see all the letter E added to my save file before it was deleted which is nice. It was oddly satisfying - like sacrificing a 100% save just for the idea of helping somebody else put a nice bow on the experience of the game for me.

I mean in the end, I think the intent with games like this is not to make the player think anything specific, but to make them think anything at all. And that is why it resonates pretty well, because you aren't forced into any specific takeway.

34:32 the boner reference is so obvious I didn't catch it on my initial playthru yet was the first thing I noticed when the camera angle changed. Nines has that serious case of never ending thirst that'll make a guy do some dumb ish. Poor Nines. He's probably the most tragic YoRHa character in this game.

@@Toksyuryel You have to wipe his memory to get the 100% completion anyways. Machine Heads weapon and whatnot. But I still like the option of "nah, this your internal struggle to deal with, don't bring me into this" option. Also it is less of a suicide and more of a "he disappears", at least that's what the wiki says. Take it as implied suicide if you will.
