Bangladesh was literally one of the richest places on earth when the British took over and forced them to supply them with tea among other things. Also he didn’t even really talk about the fact that Churchill exacerbated the famine in Bangladesh causing more to needlessly die. That is unbelievably significant and should always be mentioned. Famines can start with natural disasters that limit food supplies, but often times it is the government policies that make it significantly worse. See also the British and the Irish Famine, similar circumstances.

I am not implying or saying that british rulers didn’t do anything but what they took was way far more than what they gave this county in return! Sorry if i was offensive ☺️

The independence war of Bangladesh lasted for 9 months (25 march 1971-16 december 1971 ). 3 million people gave their lives and 2 lakhk (200k) women lost their dignity. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was our national hero because of him Bangladesh was able to achieve independence. On August 15, 1975, he and his whole family lost life in the hands of the anti-independence forces.

Why should we be grateful anymore when india is doing the almost same kind of economical and psychological damage to us, read about teesta river and ganges river crisis, civilians getting killed in the borders(specially the case of a girl named "felani khatun"), talpatti island crisis in 1980 and 2003, border skirmish between BSF and BDR in 2001, and your illiterate leaders like modi and amit shah insults Bangladesh's sovereignty everyday by saying that Bangladesh will be part of " Akhand bharat" thats why almost every election time they heinously say Bangladesh will be attacked and forcefully be under of akhand bharat, now tell why tf should we consider india as our friend when your leaders will not feel guilty for a single moment before stabbing us in the back while we are not careful

However, there are some issues going on between India and Bangladesh and someone already mentioned it on the thread and if it is not fixed soon then the relationship might get a bit salty. Something about the part where he mentions that India (knowing how big the country is) sided with the Bengalis against Pakistan, and Pakistan surrendered kinda made me laugh. Like, "Yo, Pakistan wanted NO SMOKE, B." (Also, no disrespect to any of the mentioned countries. Just found that statement comical.)
