Hi Dr. Ellie, I've been using xylitol mints and gum for a few weeks now and I'm starting your complete system today. I also just ordered some more Zellies gum and mints. The thing that most impressed me about your system is that you have promoted it for so long. I saw a 14 year old video where you basically were saying the same thing. I have two questions. I bought some xylitol crystals. Should I do a xylitol rinse after using the system before bed? And I think you may have already answered this, but should I swallow the rinse? I'm using about 1/2 teaspoon of xylitol and a sip of water for the rinse. Thank you.

I’ve had pretty bad recession on 12 teeth after removing braces at age 21. Been to many dentists since then and they said it couldn’t be fixed. Went to the dentist again recently and 13 years of not healing them eroded gums pretty bad to the point I couldn’t consume anything cold or sticky sweet like caramel or chocolate. The dentist told me they have to put sealants onto the exposed roots and asked for a fortune for 4 teeth even with a discount. I came home, found this Doc, purchased everything in the system for $75 and started following the program, figuring it can’t get worse at this point. I’m at 2 months and the gums completely covered a few exposed roots already, so the sensitivity went significantly down. Thank you lots!

Too bad you don't have before and after photos. That would be interesting to see. The big disagreement I have with Doc is her assertion that caries can be treated with Xylitol amd her system. It would take YEARS to know and to show this and by that time the caries WILL progress. The science of cariology is clear. Once bacteria are in the dentin you CAN NOT stop it without removing it. Xylitol can clear the gut of healthy bacteria. She states this in her video. It's not because of the fiber. Just as it clears the mouth of bacteria, it alters the gut. I use xylitol for as a rinse and also use it to clear the sinus. But repairing caries? BS....

I've been to 5, FIVE dentists in Kalispell MT and NONE of them have been helpful about preserving teeth and gums, ALL of them were however quick to say I needed CROWNS $2.5k to $6k each. This is AFTER they told me I was losing my bone structure, so I asked everyone of these "dentists" "why would I get a crown if the bone structure underneath is eroding?" Dr. Ellie Phillips YOU are so right a/b Lobbyists here in the U.S.A. it is all a/b money, and DUES to the association be it Dentists, Realtors, CPA, etc., etc. THANK YOU!!!!

If they said you are losing bone, that’s called periodontal disease. Perio disease can be stopped. Get a “deep cleaning “ which is called SRP. Then clean your teeth daily with electric toothbrush, floss, and a water pick. Get the crown to save the tooth. Xylitol helps to prevent further decay. It takes time, effort and some money, but you CAN get your mouth healthy again.

I'm not entirely sure if I remember this correctly, but when I did research for my mother's friend who has a similar issues as you, I read that crowns are needed so that you would actually use your teeth for chewing and stuff like that. For example, my mother's friend used to wear dentures but they weren't done correctly so they didn't fit as they should, and after she took them out she stopped wearing them for years, and because of that she started losing the bone beneath her teeth (sorry I don't know the terminology, I'm from Europe), the bone started deteriorating- because she didn't use it for a long time. She needs crowns on her remaining teeth (and fixed dentures of course) so that she can start actually using her teeth and so that she doesn't lose more of her bone. So when you get crowns to be able to use your teeth again and when you chew you press on those bones and you signal to your body that you're using your teeth, so the bone stops deteriorating. Basically, if you don't use them- you lose them, just like when you don't use your muscles for a long period of time, they atrophy. Take this with a grain of salt of course, I was researching about this a couple years ago so I may be misremembering some things. Also, be careful with taking too much xylitol (no more than 30-40 grams a day) because it could be dangerous and it will have some side effects, don't take it when pregnant or breastfeeding, and it's extremely toxic to pets like dogs and cats. I looked at a few scientific studies about the effects of xylitol on teeth and cavities, and most of them are poorly done or they conclude that xylitol isn't really that effective for treating cavities, so beware of the placebo effect before spending a large amount of money on it. I encourage you to research xylitol on your own, if you want of course, and it's better to use reputable sources and to look at several studies, because one small study doesn't mean anything and they are often poorly done. Anyways, I hope you're having a great day and good luck with your health journey! 🍀

Dr. Phillips, I changed to xylitol gum due to the dangers of aspartame. I only found out about the benefits by accident when I started researching it several months ago, and I have seen the benefits. Dentists in the US don't want us to know about the wonders of xylitol. Many of them are like car garage attendants, trying to make as much from patients as they can. It's great to see a dentist that really cares about prevention.

1)use the right xylitol gum or mints after meals and here and there, maybe like 6 times a day. She has mints/gum called Zellies you can find. 2)morning and night do the following in this order: A)mouth wash with closys mouthwash sensitive ONLY (do not use the healthy gum one. B) brush teeth with regular Crest. Do not use the other options of crest, only regular cavity protection basic crest. C)mouth wash with original listerine D)mouth wash with basic ACT. I think this only comes with flavors, so pick a basic one, not any special extra option. I would watch her hour long video. Its worth it. She goes in to depth about the exact right ones to use and extra tips and techniques. I might not be relying it exactly right.

There is a fluoride industry here in the United States. They put it in our tap water whether we want it or not. And there is a heavy push to use it at any dental office. Suppression of information or even just omission is still suppression imo. Xylitol is not carried everywhere here in the US either. I have to make a special trip to certain stores or order from the internet. But I think a more accurate statement would be that it threatens the dental industry as a whole.

The first dentist really messed up the tooth next to the one that was removed as well. The second dentist fixed everything and in doing that he had to do a bone graft. It was pretty involved and took quite a bit of time and I was 70 and took some time to heal. Now I'm healed and love my second dentist. I thought he had somehow made all my teeth feel tighter & stronger. After all I've heard now about xylitol, I'm not so sure that IT didn't make the difference in my teeth! I had a lot of stress over my teeth and was chewing the mint gum for constant indigestion! Very interesting!😳🤔

I’ve just gotten off of three weeks of antibiotics due to a terrible infection actually caused by using dental picks and brushing too hard. I just wanted to share that cleaning too much can cause you potentially life threatening infection. I now understand that I must brush very gently, I use a small children’s brush now, and I stopped flossing and tooth picks. I only rinse with water, mouth wash, apple cider vinegar in water (making sure to rinse with water after very very thoroughly), and very soft rubber intermittent brushes. Rinsing with water is very important. I also take Xylitol. On a different note. After starting Xylitol, by tummy is now flat. No longer bloated. I used to bloated for so many years despite eating healthy and excercising. 😊 Very pleased with Xylitol. I have a beautiful jar for tea, filled with Xylitol pastilles, on my desk now. 😊

Part of the problem getting people to do this protocol is lack of awareness. When she talks about this Complete Care System it sounds like she’s selling something which I think turns people off. It takes a bit of digging or watching an hour plus video to realize it’s just a protocol of using 3 different over the counter mouthwashes with some rules for how and when. The system has dramatically improved my gums and is removing plaques. Now I see three teeth with caries and I’m hopeful the caries will heal. I realize that’ll probably take several months if it happens at all. I lost one tooth to gum disease then I found this program and now have confidence I should be able to stop the downhill slide.

@@EDECO79 The study was to promote a new blood test that measures activity of blood platelets. It just so happened that they used xylitol for this. The publicity was really to help promote the testing equipment ($$$) and note the study was funded by German Equity Funding groups and connections with P and G and Pfizer. But yes, in this observational study - where NO symptoms were reported - they gave 10 people attending a heart clinic (we do not know their status, medications or even if they had periodontal disease for example) but these volunteers drank 30 grams of xylitol after fasting and they found ( with this new testing equipment ) that some of their blood platelet ACTIVITY levels increased. THAT is the conclusion of the study. Blood platelets actually increase their activity in chronic health conditions - and definitely are increased in numbers and activity if you have periodontal gum disease. The Cleveland Clinic sent out an article which says this has no relevance to gum and mints with xylitol. The MEDIA, however, picked up the story and have made it a completely different entity. The dental newsletters actually are suggesting with their pictures that xylitol toothpaste is dangerous. LOL. Really? Mind you, it is interesting ($$$) that media outlets had this press release within 2 hours of study publication. On my website I have a response to this and links to the many amazing studies with xylitol that have never had press / publicity: zellies.com/pages/the-truth-about-xylitol

Thanks for this Dr. Ellie! I had been using xylitol, but gradually stopped using it daily. I usually mix in some xylitol with my "coffee sugar" (monk fruit, erythritol, xylitol). Since I sip on coffee from 5am to about 10 am, that was a good way to use xylitol. I''ll start using it again. I think I'll grind some into powder, then mix that in with my fennel seeds as an after-meal habit.

I finally bought the full mouthcare system as I have only been doing steps 2, 3, & xylitol(using listerine first since it washes away fluoride). Now I have steps 1-4 & xylitol. I’m so sorry Dr Phillips I know u need all the steps. Now I feel complete. I’ve been telling everybody about zellies mints even if I have to buy them for them. They taste great! Dr. Ellie, not one day after I watched your video about your system - approx a 2 weeks ago; a few days after, there was a news clip about the dangers of an artificial sweetener, but didn't state what it was until they came back from the break. I thought to myself that I bet it will be Xilytol... of course it was. I think anything that looks like it might "interfere" with ideas about health care previously established will come up against those who'll try to discredit it. I hope it will come to the point where we look into things for ourselves before we dismiss what might be useful and can empower us to be more self- sufficient with our health. Also, thanks for the instruction for proper use of the gum!

I saw great results within a few weeks and was over the moon, I told everyone that would listen about it and showed them your videos. It is extremely difficult to get these products in the UK, it costs a hell of a lot of money. I noticed you had a list of alternative products that were available in the UK so I immediately bought them. (Ultra dex, Crest anticavity, listerine cool mint, Colgate fluoriguard) I have used these products from the last 10 weeks and I have noticed a rapid decline in my mouth health. My gums have become sensitive when brushing again and I have even felt a bit of tooth pain. I definitely think these products need a re think on your list as my partner has found exactly the same thing happen. I am not sure what to do now. Thanks 🙏💚
