A StringBender-equipped Preston Thompson Guitar w. Trey Hensley & Chris Luquette | Fretboard Journal
Музыка
Two of the finest flatpicking guitarists around - Trey Hensley & Chris Luquette - show off a new StringBender-equipped Preston Thompson dreadnought. StringBenders were famously created by Gene Parsons at the request of Clarence White for Clarence's Telecaster. In 2019, Thompson will begin offering StringBender installation on their acoustics as an upgrade option.

Man he tore it up at the end there. The bender sounds so cool on acoustic.
Fretboard's podcast episode on this (with Trey, Gene and others) is most excellent.
This is sooooo flippin cool.
B benders are cool. I love the dudes playing in Diamond Rio. He makes use of it a lot.

Awesome
What a great idea
Great!
Trey is a hell of a player.
Damn Hensley is good..
Trey definitely makes it works best. IMO. I'm sure both will smoke everything anyhow.
Seriously considering selling my soul to the Devil in a deal to play like Trey.

Oh - Please don't do that- just practice more !
Not alot of shit makes my jaw drop;this mans playing did 😮
I think trey likely picked it up as fast as Clarence did
Oh man! GAS initiated!
Wouldn't want to use it too much to my ear.
Hmm.... string bender not for me.
A bender is fine on an electric, it's a gimmick on an acoustic. Just a novelty that would wear off quickly I think. I bet you sacrifice some tone and resonance with the mechanics inside too.
