You did well. With the clackety clack of that key and how much effort you were putting into keying, I’d suspect the contact spacing was rather wide.

Enjoyed watching this video and one from a year ago. I’m brand new to CW and want to do some activations. That is partly why I started learning. I’m about three months in and still struggling with my copying. Your progress gives me some good hope! Nice job

Your straight key fist is actually pretty good man. I've heard FAR worse on the air 😂

I bought one of your antenna kits right before my wife broke her arm, so we have been preoccupied getting her well again. I was intending on building the 9:1 EFRW version with 41' radiator. I wanted to compare it with my PacTenna that I put on a 29' radiator. I ordered an ATU-10 tuner that is supposed to do a good job of matching after seeing Aaron W4ARB try his on a 9:1, again hope to get to it later this winter. I did about 12 actuvations last summer & had just got my code speed back up to about 14 wpm, but I quickly get rusty even if skipping just a week of inactivity. I enjoy all of the POTA videos as they give me some code practice in head copy. So far my big limitation is the artritis in my wrist compared to 44 years ago as a Novice, but I was slowly getting better & all of the POTA hunters & activators have been super great at matching my sending speeds. I wish I i had learned to send left handed when i was age 17, I dabbled with it, but got lazy. I can multiplex easier if it is windy & need both hands to keep control. I am a fulltime RVer so hope to do more wide spread activations across the country when I can get back to operations again. Cheers, Davey --KU9L

I have been off the air for over a decade and I'm a bit rusty. So I thought I would listen along with you. To me at the end of your contacts is sounds like you're sending 72 rather than 73? Is that a POTA thing or has something changed in the last decade while I was off the air? Or has my CW gotten that spotty?

72 is the QRP version of 73.
