A story of an urban rose farm: featuring Rose Lane farm and urban rose farmer Lynne Vinkovic.

26 years ago ,Rose enthusiast Lynne Vinkovic decided to take her passion for rose growing to the next level. She purchased a piece of unwanted land and transformed it into an urban rose farm. She is now an urban rose farmer and grows and harvests roses for the floral and events industries. Her beautiful rose farm can be found underneath a pylon, next to a rail way line, in the flight path and sandwiched between two industrial storage yards. A natural wonder in the city of Sherman Oak, Los Angeles. Bringing pure beauty and divine floral aromas to the urban landscape.
This film is the first in a series of micro documentaries on people in the plant world. People of the plants. Storytelling is my way of learning about the world and making sense of reality. My camera provides me with the perfect excuse to meet people who interesting me, capture beauty and share their stories so you can learn to. My family and I will shortly be traveling America for a year. Saying good bye to our city lives and moving into a school bus we converted. We are looking to learn from herbalist, holistic doctors, indigenous wisdom keepers, plant scientists, regenerative farmers, natural builders, off grid communities and anyone with expertise that will take us all towards a greener, plant based future. If you would like us to feature you or know an expert who's world could inspire the youtube community, then please get in touch! I really want this channel to be a co creation for the plant curious.
