Exastly 28 years ago, on September 12, 1995, Jeremy Brett passed away on Tuesday morning. The usual, warm September day began...But this day, our dear, beloved Jeremy was no longer there...It was Tuesday, just like today. There are wounds that never heal. Sometimes you don't feel pain right away. For a while you live by inertia - it seems to you that nothing has changed. And all that happened was just a dream, a flying dream. Now you wake up, and everything will be as before . But time passes, and the lingering nightmare continues, and one day you finally, with all you heart with all your mind, with all your being, realize the reality of losd. You understand that you will never, never again see his charming smile, hear his beautiful voice, see his new roles, his new amazing interviews....He is no more. From this thought you will want to beat you fists against the walls, you will want to run wherever your eyes look - but you know: it is impossible to escape from this, nothing can save you from this pain. And now have to live with this pain in my heart ❤for many years. In my heart, in my life, Mr.Jeremy you will forever remain alive. Thank you for your miracle tribute. Whenever I look at JB, I feel like I only knew him for the indomitable energy, passion, kindness and joy that comes from his face and loving smile. Jeremy Brett is alive because we love you, Jeremy. He had an amazing aura of life that shone like the sun, and like the sun, it is eternal. It's hard to find fans like that that will make you immortal long after you're gone❤❤❤

I randomly found this quote by my beloved Saint-Exupéry "On a day of burial there is no perspective - for space itself is annihilated. Your dead friend is still a fragmentary being. The day you bury him is a day of chores and crowds, of hands false or true to be shaken, of the immediate cares of mourning. The dead friend will not really die until tomorrow, when silence is round you again. Then he will show himself complete, as he was - to tear himself away, as he was, from the substantial you. Only then will you cry." The source isn't indicated but I guess he wrote it in a series of article for the newspaper "L'Intransigeant", after his friend and colleague pioneer aviator Jean Mermoz and his crew disappeared in 1936 en route to Brazil.

@@charlottevairet3453 Thank you very much for the guote! I so appreciate that you found this particular quote by Antoine de Saint-Exupery for me. He could describe exactly those mournful feelings that you experience after the funeral of a loved one, a friend. Throughout my life I have lost all my close people. And the endless loneliness, the inner cold that I experisnced after their funeral cannot be expressed in words. It's like a sudden bitter frost in the middle of May. It's like being alone on a desert island. It was as if the sunlight suddenly went out and darkness fell. " I think that all my life I have been on the border between two worlds: the world in which we live on earth, and the one to which we go when our earthly stay comes to an end. In fact, this is what really helped me. Knowing this for us is something greater than life, and death makes us realize that everything is possible". - Jeremy Brett. Our dear Jeremy sincerely believed in the immortality of the human soul. I also sincerely believe that with the death of a person only the earthly path ends. Another world awaits ahead, where "everythings is possible..."

@JoanJeremy95 Where did you find this phenomenal quote by Jeremy : " I think that all my life I have been on the border between two worlds : the world in which we live on earth, and the one to which we go when our earthly stay comes to an end. In fact, this is what really helped me. Knowing this for us is something greater than life, and death makes us realize that everything is possible" ??? When did he say that ? I'm hugely interested and very intrigued by this because it evokes to me things I read in two paper articles I once feil upon. In one of them he referred to the rheumatic fever which obliged him to lay and maintained him between life and death for months. If I remember well, he explained what effect it had, at 16, on the way he saw life after that, and how it changed his relationships to others. Maybe, it's the reason why our friend Anne and others, can see melancholy in his eyes on many of his photographs... In the other article, still if my memory doesn't betray me, it was about his breakdown and his sense of being out of trouble after having been treated. There, he said that having undergone this, he had the feeling of being able to understand people better because he had acquired an hability to see through them... On one hand, I think I understand both his statements ; on the other hand, I wonder to what extent it his artist personality* that leads him to tell this things in that way... But it also shows how rich it* was, and how curious of others and open-minded Jeremy was. Anyway, I can't help thinking that the serious illness during his teens and, before that, the isolation he ± endured as a child because of his speech impediment, may have left long lasting, hidden traces and maybe a kind of imperceivable fragility in his psyche. I'm not a "psy", but I still think that this health problems may be causes to take into account for his breakdown, his premature widowerhood being, in comparison, the most violent and easy to spot struke that led to his mental collapse. Nothing is clear and simple in a human life ...

@@charlottevairet3453 Thank you very much for your detailed answer. I'll try to explain a little about my attitude towards Jeremy. Perhaps at the very beginning when I learned about Jeremy Brett, I idealized him as very unusual person. But later, when I found many memories of him on the Internet from his friends, colleagues, and interviews with Jeremy himself, I became imbued with immense respect and compassion for him. I'm not trying idealize Jeremy because he was a famous and handsome actor. Even if he were an ordinary person, I would continue to feel spiritual attachment to him. I have had an ongoing, tender affection for Jeremy for many years. In my letters I tried to explain to you my compassion for Jeremy. He suffered a lot of grief and suffering in his life. He suffered many attacks of his mental illness. Bipolar disorder is a brutal mental illness. To face this disease, you need to have a lot of courage and perseverance. Based on my experience, I know what a person can feel during treatment. What kind of internall hell, what kind of tears do you have to go through in order to feel that the disease is going away for a while? Jeremy didn't discourage himself with questions like, "Why am I so unlucky? What did I do to deseve this?" All these questions, if you understand reality and fully accept it in your heart, are irrelevant and insoluble. These are all just questions to which no one knows the answer. The situation you find yourself in is just one of the cases that can happen in life. This disease is to blame for changes in a person's character and behavior. A person who has endured such suffering always becomes an Angel for me after his death. My mother, who died of cancer, and my 4-year-old daugter, who died due to SMA, also always remain my Angels for me. I called Jeremy the Prince not only because he was a handsome man, on stage he played Prince Hamlet, Macbeth, he played aristocrats, he really was the Prince of all Holmeses. Please excuse the long explanation. I tried to explain why I have a heartfelt affection for Jeremy. My small videos about Jeremy are all I can do for his memory. There are people who didn't know anything about Jeremy Brett before. But after watching some of my videos about him, they became interested in his work. For me, their feedback is an invaluable reward.

He was only 61 when he passed away! That is not old in today's era. There are rare men who are truly beautiful, like Tyrone Powers for example, and Jeremy Brett is in this category. I loved Brett as Maxim de Winter in Rebecca and as Sherlock Holmes in the series. He was a true talent.

Thank you. For me he is the greatest English Actor. Thank you, wisest man, Mr.Holmes. I thank you for everything, sir. I didn't believe in another world before. But for me now he's like an Angel. The most beautiful of men with a truly captivating voice and perfect diction. This man was a true gentleman, one to literally die for. Especially those eyes, they are absolutely mesmerizing, a reflection of his heart, he was such a unique person, the one and only Sherlock Holmes. I tried to hold back my tears while working on this video. The only consolation for all of us is that Jeremy no longer experiences the pain and suffering that he went through in his life.

I don't expect you to hold back your tears, but I do expect you to hold back your sadness. Longing never goes away, but despair can and must be overcome, since it does not honor the departed. - When I die, do not despair. Give me honor. @@amtRemember Dear Ann, I am sincerely grateful to you for the compliment. I was doubly pleased to read the compliment because it came from you. I really like the paintings of Thomas Gainsborough, his romantic images of sophisticated gentlemen and beautiful ladies. When I took my self-portrait, I had no idea that it turned out in the style of Gainsborough. Let this remain my little secret (I'm talking about the portrait). To do this, I took my photo and made it in a romantic style. I wanted to look like a real Lady, with whom our beloved Mr.Sherlock Holmes could fall in love😊☺😍 This quote by Brazilian writer Augusto Curi from the novel "The Seller of Dreams". His expression is fathomless. What to say ? What to do, even if it has been too late for long ? I just can't describe the way this pic affects me 😢 !

This is a pretty rare photo of Jeremy. I surprised by Jeremy's appearance in this photo. It's hard to express in words the emotions I feel when looking at some of Jeremy 's photos. In this photo, Jeremy's gaze is otherworldly, as if his thoughts were not on earth, but there, beyond the line of eternal peace... It was as if he was experiencing immense fatigue, defenselessness at that moment. These are just my feelings. Maybe it was for the better that at that time there were no smartphone or digital cameras...
