    Amotti deserves to win. He is agile, flexible, quick, calm, has strategy, endurance, good pacing, and mental strength. His presence of mind is amazing. He is well-rounded. His adrenalin rush made him stronger as each round gets tougher. As he said, he does not like combat games, but part of being physically fit is understanding your strengths and limits and adjusting strategy to still survive. Even olympians know this. Even thanos and amazing mma fighters lost because the game is not just to subdue your opponent but to to test your overall strength, including endurance, speed and agility. If Andre had pushed harder he would have injured himself so it is important to respect your body and strategize. There is no shame in losing if you know your body is not trained or built yet for the challenge. While many of the contestants were tough and amazing, some looked like they didn't even prepare at all, and honestly a disrespect to the producers of the show to just show up without training. Amotti said he trained everyday for this. He deserved it 💯 His mentality is his biggest charisma. He has the form and body of a winner. He is a good representative of Physical 100. 🔥

    Was anyone else thinking Andre's feet were placed too much forward? It made his squats more difficult and it was especially noticeable when he couldnt get it up anymore, he couldnt generate force through pushing because his the angle was way off.

    Is there anyone smart enough in the comment section who can roughly calculate how much weight they were actually lifting, taking into account where it was located (basically taking into account that angle)? Obviously the "actually lifted weight" was nowhere close to 250kg, but I'm still curious how much they had to lift.

  • @raykim9760

    Considering how much Amotti (the winner who stands in the leftmost position) normally lifts when he does crossfit squat, even the heaviest challenge must weigh less than 100kg. Plus, it was close to smith machine squat, not barbell one. And they were allowed to skip the negative squat and let go the machine to the bottom without resisting, so they can perform relatively better than normal workout.

    they're using hack squats. they defintely feel easier. around 160kg is my max squating with the bar, while i can do like 5x 200kg with still some room to go harder using a similar variation of hack squat. maybe it's like 40-60% easier than it is normally. so maybe the 250kg feels around 140-160kg on a normal bar.

  • @sagemagus126

    @sagemagus126

    @@mkzzzzzzzzzz1 that's actually not Hack squat because too much lower back. It's a kind of pendulum squat. The momentum arm is long and the angle is acute, basically how a crow bar works. Whereas traditional Hack has the weight on the pelvic spine, and modern Hack more like Sisy's squat

    This comment section is really helpful. I'm only experienced with free weights and not machines, so I don't have any experience with how hinged/pendulum weights affect load. So I was stunned when they said that their "warm-up" weight is normally 100kg 💀💀 And don't get me wrong, they're clearly all extremely fit! So I'm not doubting their capabilities, but 100kg just seemed like a shit ton of weight for a warm-up weight

    Anyone who does proper squatting will lose this challenge. HSB and Amotti caught on to that pretty quick. 6’4” Andre the Giant on the other hand was suffering because of his height (he couldn’t just let the weights hit the rack like the other two) and he lacks lower body strength.

    I think that’s the point with the 3 different challenges though. First was grip/upperbody, second was lower body strength/endurance, and third was overall power/endurance/strategy. No matter what, the challenges will favor somebody in some way, the Rugby guy would have dominated the spinning pole challenge but the other two clearly dominated infinite squat even though they had less body mass. If the challenge was fully well rounded I would still think these two would be in the finals and wouldn’t be surprised at all if Amotti still won, so I think they did a very good job this season with setting up the challenges.
